Kobe still dropped 62 on that same Mavs team. You don't think Kobe could have at least have duplicated Wade's performance in 06? :stopitslime:

40 was nothing to Kobe back then. He had 2 months where he averaged over 40, 27 40 point games, 6 50 point games and a 80 point game.

You can't be serious dude.

I think people forget this. 06 Kobe was probably the most perfect scorer I have ever seen. No stan, just actual facts. The shyt was literally EASY for him at that point.

Kobe's scoring outbursts against crappy teams are almost as legendary as his masonry against good teams.

There was no drop off in Kobe's game from 07 to 08. NONE. The drop off started happening in 09.

chill out  Kobe's my fav. player.

32ppg (463%). 6rbs. 5ast.
28ppg (459%). 6rbs. 5ast.

it wasn't that much...but, yea...there was.

No he was not more short-handed then Kobe in 06. Kobe was going up the Suns, not a brainless team. But we won't even argue that.

The point that you're missing simple and I'm mad that I'm participating in this undercover stan thread so this is my last post. Kobe was so CLEARLY better than everyone in 06 that losing the playoffs did nothing to diminish that. Kobe dropped a 50 point game in those playoffs and lost if you remember clearly.

Wade in 09 had a better regular season than Kobe and LeBron but he also had to go more out than they did. When it came down the playoffs and both of those guys had to go all out as well, it was clear that they were both still better than Wade. Wade's FT fest in 06 did nothing to show that he was better than Kobe in 06. Nothing. This is a year when most of the players at the all star game admitted that Kobe was the best in the league.

How can you be calling the Wade the best in the league during a period where he said LeBron was better than him and the best in the league? :beli:

You said it... Wade had a better regular season than Kobe and LeBron in 09. I didn't even give him the best player of that year, I gave it to LeBron because Playoffs are just as important as the regular season, and when you take both into account, Bron was the best of 09. But Wade still had the best regular season of all three

Kobe shot less, that's the year Drew emerged and we got Pau half way into the season. He also broke his pinky finger which affected his shooting for a good week or so.

Kobe didn't fall off as a player. There was no difference between 07 and 08 Kobe.

Wade was great in the 09 Playoffs, but he was even more short handed than Kobe in 06.

For the regular season, Wade was the best in 09... which is the same argument your buddy made about Kobe being the best player in 06, since both didn't make it out of the first round for having shytty teams.

Yall let the media brainwash yall. Kobe put up numbers against Orlando (4th ranked defense in 2009) similar to Wade against Dallas (7th ranked defense in 2006)

.468 .273 .773 7.8 3.8 1.0 2.7 34.7 (Wade)

.430 .360 .841 5.6 7.4 1.4 1.4 32.4 (Kobe)

and Kobe didn't go to the line 25 times in one game :upsetfavre:

No its not. Its actually one of the worse in this entire thread. Anyone that has Iverson as the best player in league at any point shouldn't be taken seriously.

Anybody that don't have Lebron the best for ATLEAST the last 3 seasons is playing themselves...I have it 4 with a tie between him and Durante this year.

Rose...as much as I like him...has never been the best in the league.

I'd even argue Chris Paul never being THE best in the league.

Y'all gotta think before u drop your lists...don't make a variety just for the sake of making a variety list...we talking THE best of each season. Rose got that MVP that year because of how much of a impact he had on his team and their record.

Impact-

2000-2006- Duncan
2007-now- Bron

Skills/Ability-
2000-2004- Kobe/T-Mac/KG
2005-2007- Kobe/KG
2008-2009- Kobe
2010-2011- Durant

How the fukk can you argue that Duncan had more impact than Shaq at the beginning of that decade? :childplease:

The best player for the first three or four years of the decade was Shaq, and pretty much since 2007 or '08 it has been LeBron. You could fill in the middle with Kobe or Duncan or KG.
