LMAO yall can't be serious about Bean though. He was clearly the best player in the league from 06 through 09, maybe 05 too.

:stopitslime: @ people listing Wade. Hardly anyone had him in the top 3 that year. Only time some people started saying he was the best in world was after that finals performance where he was gifted a 100 fts in 6 games. Only Wilbon was saying it on tv. EVERYONE had Kobe as the best that year. EVERYONE. From players to coaches to gms to analysts to fans.

This is correct, of course nikkas will try to re-write history by saying Kobe wasn't the best player in those years..LMAO at Wade being considerd any year besides 09.

Duncan was the best in 03 with Kobe second and Kobe/Shaq/Duncan are all arguable for 01. I'd take either of them over AI, but I understand that he won MVP and everything.

Kobe was the best player in 08. He was averaging 30 7 and 7 in those playoffs before the finals.

Kobe had a great year in 03. Put up 30 & i think a career high in assists.

Some people think Chris Paul was robbed in 08.....plus, there was a drop off from Kobe from 06-07 to 2008.

AI took the Sixers to the finals. The Sixers. Put up 35.6 a game (on .404% though :deadrose:). He showed heart. I understand if others dont share the same viewpoint.

There was no drop off in Kobe's game from 07 to 08. NONE. The drop off started happening in 09.

Lol if you're giving Kobe the best player for 06, despite being eliminated in the first round and losing a 3-1 lead, then Wade definitely deserves 09

Kobe could be considered for 02-03, he averaged 30,7,6 regular season and 32,5,5 in the playoffs.
He was in the conversation. It was really close that year with several players, but most had Duncan as the best and Kobe as the best perimeter player.

What does a teams performance have to do with anything? Kobe was the best in 06 because he was the best player that year. Its that fukking simple. His team didn't go anywhere, because his teammates sucked. Had nothing to do with him as a player. Wade wasn't the best in 09. Lebron was clearly the superior player.

I hate reading dumbass post like yours.

It's not necessarily rewriting history, it's just a difference of opinion. Personally I think that Lebron has been the best individual player in the league since the '06-07 season. I don't know if Kobe has ever been the best player in the league in my opinion.
