Lol if you're giving Kobe the best player for 06, despite being eliminated in the first round and losing a 3-1 lead, then Wade definitely deserves 09

Did you forget what Kobe and LeBron looked like in those playoffs? Kobe, Wade and Bron were all elite that season. But Wade didn't do enough overtake those guys.

09 was the first year I ever saw Kobe hold back in the regular season. When the playoffs came around, he went back into Kobe mode.

What? Are you talking about 06? The year Wade had arguably the greatest performance in Finals history?

How are you confused about your own points? :beli: You just said that if we're giving Kobe 06 then we have to give Wade 09. I asked you, did you forget what Kobe and LeBron looked like in those playoffs? I was obviously referring to 2009.

Check out these box scores.

Wade's performance was suppose to impress me? Kobe would have averaged 45 against that same Mavs team if he would gotten those calls that Wade got.

:ohhh: at this horrible logic. Comparing a regular season game to the Playoffs? Everyone agrees Wade in 06 is a top 10 performance in Finals history, and top 5 in the past decade. This was Wade before he changed his game after the injury, he slashed ALL the time

Wade was great in the 09 Playoffs, but he was even more short handed than Kobe in 06.

For the regular season, Wade was the best in 09... which is the same argument your buddy made about Kobe being the best player in 06, since both didn't make it out of the first round for having shytty teams.

No he was not more short-handed then Kobe in 06. Kobe was going up the Suns, not a brainless team. But we won't even argue that.

The point that you're missing simple and I'm mad that I'm participating in this undercover stan thread so this is my last post. Kobe was so CLEARLY better than everyone in 06 that losing the playoffs did nothing to diminish that. Kobe dropped a 50 point game in those playoffs and lost if you remember clearly.

Wade in 09 had a better regular season than Kobe and LeBron but he also had to go more out than they did. When it came down the playoffs and both of those guys had to go all out as well, it was clear that they were both still better than Wade. Wade's FT fest in 06 did nothing to show that he was better than Kobe in 06. Nothing. This is a year when most of the players at the all star game admitted that Kobe was the best in the league.

How can you be calling the Wade the best in the league during a period where he said LeBron was better than him and the best in the league? :beli:

Kobe still dropped 62 on that same Mavs team. You don't think Kobe could have at least have duplicated Wade's performance in 06? :stopitslime:

40 was nothing to Kobe back then. He had 2 months where he averaged over 40, 27 40 point games, 6 50 point games and a 80 point game.

You can't be serious dude.
