In the age of inflation and the largest intergenerational wealth transfer, you're already behind if you don't have some type of inheritance.

Inflation, in of itself, devalues what every money you have saved.

You saved for 6 months of bills at best becomes 4 months. Especially if there's an emergency.

I don't know who teaches ya'll only irresponsible ppl have money issues.

How about everything has gone up except for the majority of people their salary.
Anyone who is living in poverty or just above the poverty line, I have sympathy for. Everyone else, I still have some sympathy but I get what the OP is saying. If you’re single making 50k-60k and above (or a little more in high cost of living areas), and you’re ALREADY in a bind, then you’re not living within your means.

If you’re making six figures… this should be an annoyance, but you should be okay for a while. Worse come to worst, you should be able to reallocate savings to cover your monthly expenses.

Ideally though, we shouldn’t even have to be dealing with this. Between shytty politicians, price gouging businesses, and punk ass Putin… we’ve been royally screwed.

Tough to put that blanket statement on everyone bro. The largest source of bankruptcies in the US is from medical debt.

Ol girl is driving to work and gets t-boned and her job doesn’t give her insurance, all of a sudden she’s tens of thousands in debt. ThTs just an example, but shyt like that happens everyday.

I’m blessed to make good money, and work from home, but if a 3rd grade teacher is suddenly feeling the pressure from prices going up everywhere? And she’s fillin up her tank twice a week from her commute to school?? I’m not gonna call her irresponsible.
