I don’t understand the panic, prices haven’t gone up that much. At most you’re spending $100 more a month on food and fuel.

That's the thing for a lot of people that $100 increase has been crippling. There is blame to be had on both sides. I recently cancelled all my subscription services and that alone put over $100 back in my pocket. Some people do need to learn to live on a budget.

But you haven't had to make any payments on student loans for almost 2 years. And even if you did interest has been 0% these last few years too. I'm all about enjoying yourself when you can but you could also set yourself up to flourish in the long run if most people played their cards right. You could have tackled all personal debt to focus solely on student loans when it restarted. If you got any unemployment or stimulus checks you could have stacked that as well. I don't know your whole situation so not much to go by but there are avenues if you play it out. It looks like they're about to extend that student repayment startup again so now is to time to put pen to paper

That’s some that have had that luxury, not all, mine were not covered the same time as others, and no it’s not zero interest, I’m comfortable, my point was others, i think we view debt and your ability to get out of or save for, as some seamless operation, nikkas not going to get comfortable by deciding to get the 3 dollar pack of leg quarters instead of the chicken breast. you know how people get comfortable, live able wage, non inflated housing costs. Them checks were literally supporting some people as they still had to survive being laid off

We are living above our means now even if we don’t want to :yeshrug: There was a time when slinging 20 dollar bills was a big deal. Man you can spend a quick
100 without even realizing it these days smh

I tell my nephew that when you’re a kid, $20 feels like a $100 :mjgrin:Then when you grow up and get responsibilities, $100 feels like a 20 :mjcry:
