Basically. "African food" is too broad a criteria to really compare, but Jamaican food really is only 2-3 good dishes then a bunch of nasty shyt only Jamaicans like. Soul food is way more diversified and on par if not better than the best Jamaican dishes

have eaten food from all over the diaspora... rate it all. only cuisine i've been underwhelmed by is inland kenyan food... no spice game (coastal cuisine is lit tho).
