The thing about domestic terrorism also, is that if he/she were black or latino, the group would be targetted, but if it were a white male, that group wouldnt. that's a bit absurd. for everyones safety they should be.

No I`ve read the article and it is simply incorrect.
if you did, then you would realize that his bigger point is about governmental actions against its citizens

as we have seen with white terrorists of the past, it hasnt been the same.

This appears to be a similar sentiment held by most white people. The idea of race being a factor in how a person is handled in the media and/or the court system is always such a "shock" to most white people that they usually maintain the head in the sand approach whenever the topic is broached.

Whether you choose to admit it or not the race and/or nationality of the perpetrator has HUGE ramifications on how this is handled. We can only hope its a white male because if it is, likely no new policy changes will result. If the perpetrator is an Arab, African, or any non white person, God help us all.

I agree. This was no mentally ill indiviual. The bombs were of the home made variety but highly sophisticated, equipped with remote timers and circuit boards. Whomever did this knew exactly what they were doing.

RIP to the deceased.

Nah man, you're completely ignoring my point because it proves you and your article wrong.

You HOPING any type of individual is responsible is despicable.

I laid out reasoning as to why it doesn't matter who is responsible, but you're in here acting as if this will all be forgotten if it's a white person. That simply isn't the case.

It will be used by the government whether it be white/black/middle eastern or anything else.

Come on let's be honest here. People of color or foreigners are much more easily sterotyped and prejudiced by the white population than if it was a white male. It's not hateful to point out that truth. Did you hear about the brown guy that was tackled because he was running away from the bomb area and a bunch of people(probably white), thought he was the terrorist who did this act? They were acting on the past history of 9/11 and brown/darker skinned terrorist, yet all the bombings that have happened in the U.S have been committed by white males. No white males were attacked like that the day of the bombing. I don't think the threadstarter or anyone else for that matter wants it to be a white male as if to say fukk you to white males. It's just that minorities are much more easily prejudiced in this country than whites and if the suspect turns out to be white there will be no prejudicy because they are a majority of the population.

probably some kook that watched too many Alex Jones videos

im not too familiar with alex jones, could his work really inspire terrorism in any way? i get the feeling your comment could be similar to when some on this board equated people thinking 9/11 was an inside job with being a terrorist themselves (when al qaida certainly dont think it was an inside job). irresponsible and dangerous thinking imo.

At that point, it’s easy to imagine conservatives citing Boston as a reason to block immigration reform defense spending cuts and the Afghan War withdrawal and to further expand surveillance and other encroachments on civil liberties.

on the other hand, im pretty sure most of the stuff in the patriot act was put forth (but failed) after the OKC bombing.

it's just my prediction :manny:

it has more to do with people that get their heads filled with fear-mongering and feel the need to do something

there needs to be growth at all side. racism and bias exists, and being a part of the problem, enhancing the racism, does not lead to solutions.
