all had better defenses than offenses

I prolly went to far with 'crap' there but basically a team with a top D and a worse offense had a better chance to win than a team with a top O and a worse defense :heh:

Who is talking about recoveries, just stop you`re looking even more foolish.

When you watch Whitner's hit (did you even see it?) you know that play was because of great defense and no fluke. The 49ers were aware and Whitner's hit knocked out Thomas on the goal line.

But our defense really didn't win us the game. Fast forward a few minutes, Brees throws a pick to Goldson which he takes down to the goal line to set up more points.

Just admit you were wrong on this one

you should prolly stop trying to explain shyt to trip, I dont think he comprehends that the comeback by the offense was possible only with our D playing at an extremely high level.

please. the fact people still cant grasp that fumble recoveries and forced fumbles are basically luck is ridiculous
I'm not gonna bother getting into the argument about the importance of D, that's just silly.

Forced fumbles aren't in anyway based on luck. The best pass rushers in the league not only go for the QB, but instinctively bat at the ball whether they get the sack or not. That's all technique. Linebackers instinctively try and place their helmet on the ball when tackling, any defensive player trailing the play is going to try and bat the ball if he catches up to the offnsive player. Fumble recoveries are little more based on luck if only because the bounce of the ball is unpredictable, but even then that's effort based and not giving up on the play.

wait...wait...the comeback that the offense had to make was because the defense was playing at a high level?

NINER EMPIRE
The Niners didn't beat the Saints because of their defense.

Giants and Pats were evenly matched and both have elite QB's.

:what:
You clearly need to rewatch that game. Lemme help you with that...

fumble recoveries are complete luck

also we were talking about Thomas fumble...this wasnt a strip sack on a QB.

Ben played extremely well during the playoff run. He sucked in the SB...but the refs obviously were there to help and Seattle sucked too.
