Surprised people still rolling with the no defense playing Packers, didn't we learn our lesson last year.

They won in 2010 because they had a defense and got to the QB.

I don't trust any of these soft defenses to win it all, that's why Texans look good in 2012

Defense is being fazed out and is no longer allowed to have the impact it once did. Packers didn't lose last year because of defense they lost because of 6 fumbles. I agree about the Texans.

pretty much.,...they had 3 weeks off prior to the Giants game. They were rusty as hell

2011 was a fluke year defensively. We can't have the worst pass defense in NFL history two years in a row, not with the talent in the secondary and the new nikkas on the line plus Nick Perry opposite Clay Matthews

The Texans were horrible defensively in 2010 and they turned it around last year with a good draft.

NFC is stacked as fukk

I actually agree with Dtown I think the Chargers & Cowboys come out swinging

If Broncos lose Dumervil this'll come at heavy cost for their defense and overall performance

I believe the Bears have the pieces to be a championship contender IF their o-line holds up

The Colts' record will be too bad for Luck to win ROY

:heh:
sure explains why out of 5 top defenses 4 made it to the playoffs which is the same number of top 5 offensive teams in the playoffs

sure explains why the ravens and 49ers were two plays away from the superbowl and in all honesty shouldve been there if not for the pretty bad fukkups :laff:

as much the nfl is trying to be an extreme passing league, defenses wont die as fast as you think. plus the lockout has been the hardest on teams secondaries it seems.

Clearly you don't understand the difference between "being fazed out" and "eliminated". Defense is not allowed to have the impact it used to and it's trending further and further down in terms of impact. Of course you still gotta play D but you no longer need a top D to win.

the Packers went 15-1 last year with a shyt defense.

When you have a QB like Rodgers and weapons who can basically put the ball into the endzone any time he wants...it outweighs anything a defense can do.

this, the Packers can outscore any opponent, doesn't really matter (to acertain extent) how good the defense does

But then you look at the other teams with no defense.

NO and NE. All lost when they had to play a top defense

That's also because they signed Jonathan Joseph and more importantly got Wade Phillips to be their DC

The Niners didn't beat the Saints because of their defense.

Giants and Pats were evenly matched and both have elite QB's.
