I fukking hate this bytch's face breh. :laff: Dumb thot really trying to dictate how this hip hop shyt should go!

Oh, I mean, I don't see the big deal with the whole Action Bronson vs Ghostface thing. Bronson didn't really say anything wrong and only barely sounds like Ghost.

Ghost should be grateful that Bronson has updated and delivered his style to the new generation :cacop:

i have been one of drakes biggest defenders cause i believed he was the mastermind of his own shyt,

i thought he was just biting swag on that last album; but :scust: at anybody who defends this shyt..

We knew from jump dr. Dre , Kanye and Lil' Kim didnt write they own shyt most of the time...

the guy has fronted that he was a master emcee and a great pop song writer ..

I was definitely fooled. Didn't realize until a niqqa quoted me in the "is Drake a real lyricist" thread. I def said he was :to:

I don't give a funk what this new generation thinks, if you don't pen your own sh!t then you are not a real emcee!!

In the immortal words of tribe...

"Rap is not pop and if you call it that then stop it!"

This is the problem. Drake could be the setup for something much worse. Pushing this "it's like pop, he should have a group of writers" agenda will only set up the fall of hip,hop as we know it. Before you know it, talentless hacks will invade the genre with million of dollars behind them and groups of writers to help their cause. This is one of the most corporate things that could happen to hip hop, and of all then nitty things that have already happened. This will be the absolute worst. This being accepted and appreciated as actual art. Lifeless Vessels running around making Music they don't own. Stories that aren't theirs.

We must continue to shame this shyt. No matter what. It isn't right.

she's just saying exactly what im seeing black twitter saying. It's a tragedy, but the culture is done as far as having rules or perimeters. The majority of the audience have no real connection or understanding of the culture and they're the one's who dictate it.

Not even that, he hasn't been the face of the genre for a long time. And when he was, he was writing his own shyt. Doggy styles was all him.

The problem is not that Drake has ghost writers. It's the fact that he has control over what's accepted and that he's at the top. He's the face of the genre right now

But the time snoop had ghost writers, he wasn't THE GUY. If this was someone like idk.. Big Sean. It's like :manny:

He ain't the face. So he can't control the direction of the genre and what's accepted. Drake is the face right now. He controls trends, slang (even if it's stolen) and the overall direction of the genre.

If this becomes accepted because "Drake did it " , it'll only inspire more people to do it.
this is where alot of yall are confused.. RBX, Daz & Kurupt all used to write for Snoop.. alot..

Snoop until this day, still has ghostwriters.. alot of yall are making this a bigger issue than it needs to be, because theres a very long list of rappers who have had ghostwriters.. its part of the music business.. always has been.. hip-hop included..

hell.. even, "Rappers Delight" was ghostwritten.. :mjlol:

this is a known fact.. i mean.. look at the credits on Doggystyle, which you accredited him "writing himself"..

Doggystyle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

he only is credited as writing 4/5 songs solo.. if you actually believe Snoop wrote all his own raps, well i got a sunny beachside condo to sell you in Antarctica.. RBX, Daz & Kurupt did a bunch of writing for not only Snoop, but alot of Death Row back in the day..

As far as Producers and Beat Makers go, Nah, collaboration is key. I'm not saying that Solo Ones should be vanished from the scene but more Collaborating on the Instrumental-side is needed

As far as eMC'ing goes I'm not always against the idea. But for the most part for most artists I agree that it should remain Solo.

When money drowns out The Voice it can be extremely detrimental in more ways than one. Rap is Personal and it should be remain that way. That's what makes it special to us. Word to Future.

The Kike & Cac Media is working extra hard at damage control this week. First Action Bronson and now Drake. #StayWoke

"Doggystyle" is 11 Songs if you count "Gz Up Hoes Down" and "Nothin But A 'G' Thang Part 2 aka Tha Next Episode"... and that would exclude "Lodi Dodi"

"Tha Shiznit" was a freestyle.

I have no issues in agreeing that Snoop had some help here n there (The D.O.C, RBX, and maybe Kurupt tho idk) but that's all Snoop foreal. You forget he wrote "Deep Cover"

I could be wrong but idk, I don't think so

Stop trolling man :snoop:
im not trolling, whatsoever..

ive been working in media for a very long time.. i know most of the rappers yall speak about on here.. i mean.. its interesting to see what people actually think about the music business, and really dont know the half of it.. seriously- i could care less about Drake, Ice Cube, Sugar Hill Gang, etc having ghostwriters.. ive been at Suave House, when Ross was just some dude and ghostwriting for Ball & MJ.. it really aint even that serious..

as i already said- some of the best songs of any genre, are written by other folks.. it is, what it is.. nothing to lose sleep over..

its like saying you dont respect the movie The Matrix, after it was found out a women actually wrote it back in the 80s..
