what about guys like Snoop? He's openly admitted to using them for a while now.

I'm glad this came up.

That's the difference between this Drake situation and Snoop's situation.

Snoop came in the game writing for others and having dat pyroclastic flow.
And, in the beginning he openly said D.O.C. and Dre taught him "how to take all his raps and break 'em into 16-bar raps"...
those were still his bars.

After being established he said (long before the album comes out) "this album is gonna be written by other folks".
Yeah, them subsequent albums were hittin', but nobody was talmbat how Snoop pen game was so ill on 'em.

This is exactly why people like myself never liked him from the jump. He's a manufactured "artist" that's phony. He's the mixed version of Iggy Azelia with his blackface rap voice in costume. He should've never been accepted into the rap game just off being fake. Then the truth comes out that he doesn't even pen his own rhymes is now the icing on the cake

If rappers have something to say they'll say it, otherwise they have someone writing for them, not everyone is looking for mainstream appeal with their lyrics:smugdraper:
If Drake wants to use a ghost writer, he can do whatever the fukk he want, it's not like he has anything much to say apart from crying bout girls and soft shyt :pachaha:

thats really Quentin crying tho..

Agreed. Rappers having whole verses written for them is fine. Hip hop should be more like pop anyway, then I'll feel more comfortable playing it around my friends and family.

All rappers should be able to say "nikka", if not you take away from the reason of its birth. To fight inequality in the human community :cacop:

I fukking hate this bytch's face breh. :laff: Dumb thot really trying to dictate how this hip hop shyt should go!

Oh, I mean, I don't see the big deal with the whole Action Bronson vs Ghostface thing. Bronson didn't really say anything wrong and only barely sounds like Ghost.

Peep the author of that article you posted breh.

A white woman wrote it. :mjpls:

It's over though. The majority has spoken, and they just don't care. Hip hop has no rules, and no standards left. :yeshrug:

The rap industry been over, straight bought and sold by middle class white suburban America. They buy most of the albums and singles and they are the heads of most of the labels and distributors. Underground hip-hop been a bunch of white hipsters but they the last real nikkas alive talking about black liberation and struggle and not pop bullshyt.
