Y'all not going to give Sumlin his props though?

i will, look at houston this year after sumlin and kingsbury left

sumlin had them 11-1 last year, this year not even bowl eligible

even compare a qb like piland with kingsbury and sumlin tutelage

David Piland Stats - Houston Cougars - ESPN

24 tds 14 ints compared to piland without them 16 tds and 12 ints

johnny manziel aint even that great kingsbury and sumlin made him, the same way they had case keenum throwing for 5,000 yards and 50 tds a year

a&m wasnt bad last year, they choked away multiple games in the 2nd half. all it boils down to is a&m having better qb play, better coaching, and the sec west being worse than last year.

since sc smacked around clemson, and florida smacked around florida state, i guess you guys have to revert to making the same idiotic threads that you made instantly after texas a&m beat alabama. missouri goes 7-5 last year in the big 12, 5-7 this year in the sec. i guess that doesnt count right? or missouri losing 4 games by 14 points or more this year, only one last year.

or missouri beating texas a&m by 7 points last year, losing by 30 to texas a&m this year. does that expose the sec too? or does it expose how stupid this thread is?

A&M was supposed to come into the SEC and get whooped on... instead they are looking like NC Contenders... that's the point... how skewed the SEC's perception is...

If anything, it definitely shows that a good part of the dominance shown by SEC teams can be attributed to shytty offenses. Sometimes I watch SEC games, and straight :scusthov: at the cowardice shown in offensive playcalling at times.

USCe and Florida did pretty good against two great offenses yesterday in Clemson and FSU.

Similar threads like these keep getting made. SEC has some bad teams at the bottom, but again what other conference's top 4-5 teams are better than the SEC's top 4-5?

arkansas beat a&m last year, punished the 2nd best big 12 team in their bowl game. they were supposed to be a top 10 team this year, fast forward to this year theyre a below average team. last year and preseason projections have shyt to do with what actually happens on the field this year. teams get better and teams get worse regardless of the conference.

i love these pointless crusades against the notion of the sec being perfect that noone who knows football believes. obviously the sec has flaws, but they are clearly the best conference. statements like that then only lead to a generic answer from a sec hater that i dont believe theyre THAT much better. you guys need to let this go, because the concept of hating specifically on the sec isnt any better than this overstated so called sec brotherhood.

I don't see why people get so upset about the SEC. If Oregon and Kansas State would've handled their business there would be no SEC team in the championship game. Also all teams need to do is start beating SEC teams to kill their perception in the media. If Bama, Georgia, LSU or whoever take loses in these bowl games then they rep takes a huge hit and they don't get the benefit of the doubt anymore

That's exactly what it comes down to

i'll admit, the SEC is no different than any other conference. 3-4 great teams and a bunch of also-rans. but the difference is those great teams only lose to one another. florida st lost to NC state. the same team that got slaughtered by virginia at home, a team with only 2 conference wins and got destroyed by SEC bottom feeder tennessee in the season opener. kansas state lost by 28 to baylor, a team with only one conference win at the time and a record below .500. clemson only played 2 real teams all season and got worked in both games, one of them being an SEC team.

so you guys can bytch and moan all you want about SEC bias and what not, but until your favorite team stops losing games to iowa state, other barely eligible bowl teams, and for you crybaby ACC fans, SEC rivals, don't complain about the SEC teams not falling in the polls while losing to other highly ranked teams.

why sohuld a 1 loss bama or georgia get a shot over a 1 loss oregon who lost at home to a stanford team that is ranked number 8 and los tonly 2 games this year both on the road one to the number 1 team in the country notre dame

yet a bama team that lost to texas a&m(ranked ten) who lost two home games will get a shot at the title game

I hate Oregon but this. People are sleeping on Stanford, if Hogan had started the season they may be undefeated. Stanford vs Alabama on a neutral field. I'm taking Stanford. That front 7 is :whoo:

unfortunately its just as much about when you lose as it is who you lose to. had oregon lost before alabama to a quality opponent the roles would be reversed, i hope.

A&M's losses were to two teams in the top 7. Stanford's losses were to #1 and 7-5 Washington.

Yeah, it's so unfair. :aicmon:
