That's *ALL* I'm saying... every Conference has trash & mediocre teams... & you seem like a level headed person who uses facts but a LOT of SEC fans just spew bullshyt like their top teams in the conference are GOD status compared to others when the top teams in most conference can all beat eachother any given day...

Hell Louisiana Tech & Utah State would give some Big12/Pac12/Big10/SEC/ACC "Top Tier" teams hell if they played them...

Adds in northern Illinois, kent state and San Jose state

Considering nearly half of the sec won't be bowling

Pathetic

Ole piss had to sneak out a victory just to be bowl eligible

Only one big 12 team isn't bowl eligible

should that be a source of pride?? that just means the best teams in the conference are dropping games to mediocre teams they should throttle, i.e. okie lite losing to iowa state last year and kansas st losing to 4-5 baylor. 9 bowl eligible teams and 6 of them will end the season 7-5/6-6 :wow: just a bunch of mediocre teams beating up on each other.

Breh, as pointed out earlier, FSU played some pretty mediocre teams........they are in the ACC, after all.

But see, this is the problem. I'm not even saying the defenses in the SEC are garbage, or that al of them are terrible offensively. On the contrary, I think many of them are pretty good. However, they benefit from playing teams that are too shook to even try on some downs.

On another note though, SEC fans are the reason people don't really fukk with the SEC. As soon as yousay something even slightly critical of the conference, here comes the :cape: gang, ready to cuban b the shyt out of any reasonable talking points/questions. It's annoying.

See this is the reason why it's the SEC vs the nation. Everybody knows that offenses in the SEC are a step behind the defenses but let's not act as if when the SEC plays games outside of it's conference, the defenses are getting lit up. I mean Ole Miss got tagged by Texas this year, but that's about it. Look at Clemson; they barely got past garbage ass Auburn.

Like i've stated in this thread, the top teams outside of the SEC can play with and beat the top SEC teams. The conference isn't invincible.

The SEC passes the eye test to me. Yeah Im a UGA fan but Im not gonna say the SEC is the best just cuz everyoby else saying it. But when I watch sec games it looks closer to the NFL than any other conference. When i watch pac10/big12/big10/acc games it just doesn't look the same. :manny:

Again, I'm not saying the defenses are horrible. Alot of SEC fans run around acting like each team is packing an all-time legendary defense, and is near-invincible.

Although you deserve credit for being reeasonable about your conference's odds against other teams.

I'm not even discussing these points anymore after this

because the anti-SEC crowd on here refuses to look at things realistically

that A&M team would've been very good last year with a good coach...remember how many double-digit leads they blew in the second half last season??...if they hold all those leads they win 10 or 11 games

people underrate the value of coaching...it's like all those people that thought the Saints would be fine without Payton...coaching matters...and what A&M is experiencing is what happens when good talent gets good coaching

let's not like A&M hasn't been bringing in talent on a consistent basis...they just needed better coaching and they got it...factor that in with the SEC West falling off a cliff (even SEC fans will admit that Arkansas and Auburn were garbage this year)...Miss State and Ole Miss are what they are...middle of the pack teams

I know it's easy to hate on Mizzou...but they were banged up to hell this year and played like garbage...but they weren't an easy victory "W" in the line of kU or washington state or purdue...which are by the way garbage ass teams in other conferences that people always magically forget when they start naming what SEC teams are trash

and I hear people say this all the time..."the bad teams in the SEC are worse than the bad teams in other conferences"...that's ridiculous

in fact...let's do a quick example...Arizona State finished 7th in the Pac-12...Mizzou finished 10th in the SEC...those two teams played this year...who won?...that's right the 10th place SEC team with a back-up quarterback

Kentucky went 2-10 this year...Kent State went 11-1 and finished in the top 25...who is Kent State's one loss...that's right...Kentucky

then this bowl eligible nonsense...the Big 12 has 9 bowl eligible teams...the SEC has 9 bowl eligible teams...when you have that many teams winning like that then there's bound to be some bad teams in your conference OR you're the Big 12 and you have 0 elite teams.

so you know...come up with some other nonsense argument about the SEC because you hate it so much...and for all of this complaining about SEC fans...I see WAY MORE "I hate the SEC" trolls than "I love the SEC" trolls...it's nearly 2 to 1...it's quite hilarious

i'll admit, the SEC is no different than any other conference. 3-4 great teams and a bunch of also-rans. but the difference is those great teams only lose to one another. florida st lost to NC state. the same team that got slaughtered by virginia at home, a team with only 2 conference wins and got destroyed by SEC bottom feeder tennessee in the season opener. kansas state lost by 28 to baylor, a team with only one conference win at the time and a record below .500. clemson only played 2 real teams all season and got worked in both games, one of them being an SEC team.

so you guys can bytch and moan all you want about SEC bias and what not, but until your favorite team stops losing games to iowa state, other barely eligible bowl teams, and for you crybaby ACC fans, SEC rivals, don't complain about the SEC teams not falling in the polls while losing to other highly ranked teams.

I hate the SEC but i can't really argue with this. :ehh:
