Honestly it's sort of like DBZ in terms of fighting, with energy waves and shyt but on a smaller scale. You won't be getting dudes blowing up planets but the fighting is still great.
The story imo is wayyy better than DBZ. The character development is great for all 4 main characters. The main villains are great too. They're not just evil for no reason like in DBZ. They have actual reasons for why they turned out the way they did.
I don't know if you watch anime in English or Japanese but if you do watch this do yourself a favor and watch this in the English Dub. I don't watch anime in English besides DBZ but the voice actors for this in English are amazing. A plus is that they have the a lot of the same voice actors from DBZ.
It also has the GOAT soundtrack.
It's a short anime compared to DBZ but that's because there's no filler or any extra crap but trust me you'll love it, especially when you get to the Dark Tournament Arc.
And I'm not tryna shyt on DBZ because it's a classic to me.
Yeah I agree. Not only that but after that non Saiyans basically became non relevant...Piccolo final relevancy was the early part of the Android saga in DBZ. After that he was irrelevant like the other non Saiyans.

Nah DBZ was better once I knew wtf filler episodes were,and which ones to skip.
I remember begging my mom and my stepdad to buy me the Garlic JR boxset on vhs when I was a kid ....step dad was like
"Oh yea I seen it before,they reach a new Saiyan level
" ...
So i'm hype as shyt to get these tapes...get home and.....

The super sayian stuff I agree, SS1 should of been the limit, or Ascended with it was, and the fighting in the earlier sagas are much better, but I think BUU Saga is very underrated which is what I disagree with. It has alot of flaws but most of the GOAT moments in the series take place in it, and it's a fun watch
