Ian Connor is involved with the international fashion crowd, which are light years ahead of any American city in fashion. Atlanta swag in general is borrowed so Ian Connor isnt even in the same conversation as ATL dudes.
Name trends Ian Connor has started before he started traveling that originated in Atlanta.
Name a organic trend from ATL or Detroit
LA dudes didnt have to buy a plane ticket to wear Chuck Taylors
NY dudes didnt have to buy a plane ticket to wear Timbs
DMV dudes didnt have to take a plane ticket to wear new balances
ATL and Detroit..wait what?
Marc Buchanan who made Pelle Pelle from the D. Chicago and NYC love Pelle leathers. The rest of the East Coast? Not so much.
The DMV is weird. Everybody wearing Helly Hansen jackets like it's 1996. And the Helly Hansens they be wearing ain't even that nice. Wearing a $200 Helly Hansen raincoat when it's 20 degrees outside
fukk that. Like you ain't never heard of a bubble goose or a snorkel?
Them red Helly Hansens with the blue stripe ain't designed for when it's below freezing. I ain't a fan of 990's either
. Look like a damn senior citizen who lives in a casino in front of a slot machine with them shoes. I fukk with 998's and 997's though because not that many people up on em even in MD.
Baltimore isn't that fly compared to the rest of the East Coast. Baltimore could never decide whether they wanted to be like NYC, Philly or Down South. DMV folks call Baltimoreans bamas for a reason in my opinion.
I give it to NY. NY is the fashion capital. You'll see more fly shyt up there in a few days than you will living years in other parts of the country.
Hella people in NYC try too hard though and look hella dumb trying to outswag the next man.
But let's not act like the East Coast doesn't dikkride Cali swag. I'm from Cali and live in MD, so I know. I see hella people out here in Maryland wearing Republic of California hoodies, Chucks/Cortez paired with flannels, Vans, Thrasher shyt, etc. Especially cacs try to dress like they from Cali because hella cacs in the DMV area got money and maxed out white privilege and have spent some time in SoCal or the Bay and get turned out just like every other East Coaster who goes to Cali (i.e. Pac, Chris Brown etc.).
