I was never a fan of PS. I picked Saturn over both actually. But after Saturn got tossed in the bushes, I went with N64.

Smash bros
Jet force gemni
Snowboard kids 1 and 2
Golden eye
Mario 64
Zelda Ocorina of Time
Star fox 64

Molded my 7th-9th grade life. I loved the the fukk out of that system.

Hours of Smash bros, golden eye, and Mario kart with my friends (and that one kid you don't really like but invited anyways because he has an extra controller)

To me there's no comparison.

Based off the fun level I had I preferred the 64. You can't imagine the pressure of playing Mario Kart with 2-3 people waiting for you to lose so they could have their turn. PSX had better sports games so that's what I used it for but for overall fun and memories, N64 is the king of that shyt.

Discounting multiplayer and why it made the system better isn't right. You're either ignoring that memory of playing games with 4 friends or you were a loner. I was a kid so the fun level was more important to me than graphics, story or variety of games.

Is this even a serious question???

let's see.....

N64

Zelda OoT (top ten game alltime)
Zelda Majora's Mask (to 20 game alltime and extremely underrated)
Goldeneye (to 20 game alltime)
Mario 64 (to ten game alltime)
Killer Instinct Gold
Diddy Kong Racing
WWF Wrestling games
WCW wrestling games
Beetle Adventure Racing (underrated piff)
Jet Force Gemini
Conker
Donkey Kong 64
Banjoe Kazooie/Tooie
Perfect Dark
Paper Mario
Star fox
Rouge Squadron
Star Wars Shadow of the Empire
Smash Brothers
Mario Kart
Turok

But the N64 lacked 3rd party support, rpg's, action/adventure sports/fighting games. But killed the platforms and had two excellent fps. Even the very few multiplatform games were better on the psone.

PSONE

MGS (top ten alltime)
Crash Bandicoot series
Tomb Raider
Resident evil series (2 being top 20 alltime)
Tekken series
Legacy of Kain series
FF 7,8,9 (all arguably top 20 games)
Vagrant Story
Dino Crisis
Xenogears
Gran Turisimo series (arguably top 20 of alltime)
Chrono Cross
FF tactics
Twisted Metal
Syhpon Filter
Medal of Honor
Spyro
Ridge Racer
Silent Hill
Grandia
Breath Of Fire
Lunar
Legend of Dragoon
Alundra
Castelvania SotN (top 20 game alltime)
Jade Cac00n
Ape Escape
Suikoden
Bloody Roar
Star Ocean
Bushido Blade
Valkyrie Profile
Tenchu
Wild Arms
Soul Blade
Driver
Darkstalkers
Megaman X
Street Fighter Alpha 3
Oddworld
Ape Escape
Wipeout XL
Parappa the Rapper

PSOne absolutely shyts on the N64 in terms of variety and depth and don't even bother to mention rpg's cus it gets downright embarrassing.....

I enjoyed the N64 and it put out some classics but it lacked variety for this to even be a contest......

if you never experienced 4 player head to head matches, i can see why someone would choose PS1. I mean PS1 was a dope system with a whole lot of dope games. The game library was very deep. But if you did have 4 player matches on N64, that experience just stays in your memory. That was really an awesome experience for a youngin.

Also, I still remember playing Mario 64 in Toys R Us, and just being completely blown away. That was such a tremendous leap in gaming, seriously. That game right there changed the landscape of gaming forever.

remember with 4 player at the end of anything ... you would look around the room to see who won

cause you had so many people playing at once? it would always take a 2nd to see who was the one celebrating and shyt

It concerns me that 90s baby TOY nostalgia will artificially enhance the legacy of n64

artificially? it is well known that N64 was a favorite around 90s babies.

like many mentioned before, if you never played 4 players on one screen with at least 6 people in the room you're probably going to choose ps1.

the gaming experience and the level of fun you had with your peers on the N64 is unmatched and will probably never see the light of day again.
:noah:

And did some nikka say Goldeneye might only be top 20? slap yourself for me real quick
