Ironically I heard IWW before I even heard Illmatic in full.. IWW was so dope it motivated me to go back and check for his first album..
Same. And I was so disappointed when I heard Illmatic after IWW...

Why? That track is lowkey ass. The only real flaw on the album
Absolutely.
sidebar: I'm legit shocked at all these folks skipping "Nas Is Coming".
No. His flow was sharper and lyrics tighter. He was less raw. And ALOTTA people prefer IWW. DONT let that "if u were old enough" shyt fool u. Only people really salty about IWW was people obsessed wit Illmatic. Call IWW commercial fluff but call Ready To Die a classic. Which was actually more commercial sounding and 2 years older. He just sounds crisper on IWW. Maybe because the production was better idk. "I gave you power"
Just sounds like a leftover from that terrible Aftermath compilation. And that intro is some of the corniest shyt I've ever heard on a record.I disagree.
I love "Watch Them nikkas"What you skip? I can't STAND "Nas is coming" and "watch them nikkas"
I wouldn't go that far but I definitely liked IWW better. Although some of that Trackmasters production has aged horriblySame. And I was so disappointed when I heard Illmatic after IWW...
Nas is comin
nas is coming hook is so bland. But the verses are top 3 on the album.

Nas I Am... >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Illmatic , It Was Written...
Nas is Coming isn't even a top 25 Nas beat. The hook?? That's it?
I agree the intro is pauseworthy...but them verses was tight, and that's still a Top-10 Nas beat. But whatever...
Nas is Coming isn't even a top 25 Nas beat.
I just hate that beat, manI love "Watch Them nikkas"
Wtf are you talking about??Play a perfect album in its entirety.
Then, compare it to an album with only two good songs, breh.
