Used to hate him.. grown to respect his work ethic, desire and dedication.. and against the right opponents, he can put on great matches.. Punk/HBK/Edge etc.
Pretty much the same. If there's one thing you can say about Cena, it's that he gets you genuinely interested in a match's outcome. He hits the ring and you're like

At this point, the only things that annoy me is when he tries too hard to be funny or when he actually seems bothered by the hate. Reminds me of people that get too invested on message board reputation and try too hard as a result. When he's just having fun out there without being a TOTAL herb, he's A-OK.
Also, you can't really turn him at this point or anytime soon when you think about it because he's essentially perfect as he is.

Punk works great as a heel/tweener, which makes it awesome when he faces Cena who is a super babyface that gets mega-heel heat from smarks. If he were full heel, things wouldn't work because we like seeing Cena get sonned by cool bad guys.
Think about all the opposition. They all work better as heels. If we were to see Cena/Ambrose, we'd want Ambrose to be heel. Same with Ziggler. Same with Punk. Same with Orton. Can't have it both ways.
