Let us discuss the facade of the WWE fans hatred for John Cena

Yeah I definitely saw yesterday being there that these dudes would be lost with no Cena. I boo and do the cena sucks chant but I don't hate him..it's part of the show and the dueling crowd chants were great.

It's sad when you see this shyt. Especially the older you get, you see grown men chanting like asses before the show is even started "Cena Sucks".

Completely consumed by the man.

Can't even front I was chanting "Let's Go Cena" just at the disgust of these dudes. And also, because I was pulling hard for Johnny

nah, crowds can be indifferent to The Rock. They can be indifferent to a lot of wrestlers these days because WWE sucks at character development.

If Cena was facing Punk, Bryan, Ziggler.. someone like that most places would be universally cheering them and booing Cena. Taker would be heavily cheered over Cena as well.

It's all about context.

cena can have good matches with good workers, but if it's his job to be the ring general itll end up like last night and stink the joint out

I can't ever imagine being a grown man cheering john cena, there is like nothing that he does that would make him likable to the average male wrestling fan

Don't think that match was awful at all.

It suffered early from the same formula we've seen in Rock matches since he's returned, but it picked up and they played well of last years match and scouting eachother which injected some REAL suspense into the finish.

Out of the 3 main events it's the only one that actually contained any REAL suspense.

Fans were chanting boring at one point breh.

In the end the crowd got more involved but that was expected given the successive finishers/reversals.

But like I said, I dont really blame Cena. It is not possible to work with Rock at this point.

I hope this is the last time we see him wrestle

Its like when people would chant "you suck" to kurt angle. We knew angle was one of the best but he was fun to taunt. Cena is one of the best and fun to taunt too.

CM Punk stated that Cena and Austin are his dream opponents at WM. Think about that. They've wrestled countless times yet he still wants to do it on the grandest stage of them all. That's respect and it means a hell of a lot more than a bunch of Cena sucks chants and Internet rants.

Gotta get one or the other next year. It'll be fantastic if Punk and Cena have a build up where there isn't any matches between them until next year but.......that won't happen.

That's my point, if you really hate something, you just phase it out.

I did it w/ ROH over the last few years, I hated the direction they took and I just don't pay it any mind anymore.

I hate the Miz, I don't make signs about how much I hate him or chant against him, I just pay him no mind.

Bah...just a crowd that didn't like a Cena main event because they thought a lesser guy should of had it. There has been standing ovations for the Rock since 2011 on a nearly weekly basis. Much MORSE than Taker/Punk or any name you mentioned. It's not even close.

Don't hate him but I dislike the character (the real man seems cool), as long as he stays as superman/marine/every day Joe boring Cena, I will continue to dislike the character and no amount of WWE or coli propaganda (this thread) will change that
