Who are these posters that said Raw was shyt without John Cena? There was like literally 10 Celebration Threads:laugh: People were behind Blandy at that point and time when he got injured and looked like he was out for a year.

Wish the hamster was still around because I could pull it up.

I don't recall any names, it wasn't like a gang of folks but there definitely was some sentiment that they missed Cena

No the truth is the fans secretly love this fukking guy.

That's why they want him to turn heel so bad, so they can cheer him.

while this is an interesting take, it's NOT really true AT ALL.

The thing is, we fans want to see what's best for entertainment/TV... Instead of seeing what's only best for Vince's pocket, which is to keep Cena the same since 2005. It's 8 years later, dude and Cena is still the EXACT same character. Nobody started booing him until his character got super corny....initially ppl were all cool with his heel to face change. It was kinda like Austins being a heel-face....then eventual turn to face. But Austin was the BIGGEST face of all-time....and they turned him heel....then turned him back face. Rock was a huge face....and they turned him heel....then turned him back. Bret Hart, HBK, Undertaker, etc. John Cena is not better than any of those guys....but instead Vince knows the kids/women love him so nothing changes. $$$$

Even Hulk Hogan didnt stay a top face for this long.

Thats true. Hell they even turned Bret in a way that doing it with Cena would of been bigger.

So true. When the fans felt that Stone GOAT was getting stale and there were some boos smattered here and there, he went heel. Same with Rock and Hogan. Cena's been the same since 2006. People don't hate him as a human being (ok, not everybody), but people are sick of his bullshyt Superman character. And as long as women and kids lap it up and buy his merchandise, it's not going to change anytime soon. I'm telling you the only thing that will force Vince's and Cena's hand is for people to start throwing trash in the ring like he was Hollywood Hogan.

Exactly. Turn him heel, do it big......build up another face in the process....then turn him back to a face again and he'll be bigger than before

CM Punk stated that Cena and Austin are his dream opponents at WM. Think about that. They've wrestled countless times yet he still wants to do it on the grandest stage of them all. That's respect and it means a hell of a lot more than a bunch of Cena sucks chants and Internet rants.

Punk has always said that he is Batman to Cena's :saveahoe: . They can work together a million times but people will still want to see those 2 square off (except cokeboy apparently :smugcoke: ). Their match on Raw last month was 10x better than that garbage yesterday (and I said as much at the time).

i honestly dont hate him, my fav match 2 years ago was against punk, last yr was against brock and so far again was against punk on raw. i see a trend :ehh:

regardless of his wrestling skills we are so invested in his character whether its hate or love that we are anxious to see the outcome, cant say that about 95% of the roster.

Used to hate him.. grown to respect his work ethic, desire and dedication.. and against the right opponents, he can put on great matches.. Punk/HBK/Edge etc.

I don't hate Cena I just think his character is stale and it's been stale for a while.

I think the crowd cheered for the finish at Mania because they were happy the match was finally over. Not saying there weren't people rooting for Cena.
