Why is everyone thinking its a new virus/disease and not that someone in the prison is infecting people.

I kinda thought about that too. the obvious suspect would be the Governor, or an insider still loyal to him. but honestly I think this simply being caused by a malicious person isn't a strong enough twist. they've already done that a few times

edit: and again, they've come to the conclusion that they're all already infected with the zombie virus. so it would seem to have to be something that's strengthening or somehow changing the virus

lol im watching the sopranos and im on season 3. So waiting for this trash to come on and actually having to sit through it is pretty hard. It was like watching breaking bad then watching dexter afterwards.

The season looks like it might be one of the best so far. What did people want to happen in the first episode? You have to get caught up on what's currently going on. It's amazing to see how stupid most people are.

nah, i don't know if its in the water or not but given the time. it's to be assumed that there's some weird diseases floating about their water supply now.

ontop of that, i'm not certainf it's the water that killed young bul, i think it was daryl. dude licked on all his fingers and shook his hand. im guessing if there was some sort of disease floating about, the main characters out in the trenches are some what immune.

That's interesting and pretty damn observant. Good job.

If its always been in the water then we would be watching a show about zombies wandering the world bumping into one another because there would be no humans left.
Why is everyone thinking its a new virus/disease and not that someone in the prison is infecting people.
That kid from Everybody Hates Chris said he felt sick and then he seemed to be burning up by how sweaty he was and how he rushed to the showers...those are all things that happen to you when a zombie bites/scratches you.
And based on that sneak peak they showed on the Talking Dead somebody is already feeding the zombies which is what is drawing them to the fences so the most logical conclusion is that Rick and them have a saboteur in their midst.
it hasn't always been in the water and im going with disease because the writers have stated s4 is about a "new threat"

realistically, having millions of dead rotting corpses laying about, contaminating everything, would cause some fukked up diseases

I thought the episode was pretty good, you see that Sasha and Daryl got them to be a pretty strong team, they handled that ambush like champs and only had 1 death, they now wear body protection and got food growing, i think they tipped their hand to fast with D being an army medic, i think he the mole and is feeling remorse for what he has done in the prison already, he been there a week and help agitate the walkers at the gate, poison some of the livestock. On talking dead they said the next episode is harsh and it keeps building, plus most of that comic con preview scenes were shown last night so the Gov is lurking about 70 miles away getting a new team of killers ready.

If the nerd kid got sick from the food or whatever they're gardening in the prison, that means the whole crew could become affected with zomb flu, unless it depends on each immune system:lupe:

Also did ya'll notice that zombie that Rick looked at twice on the fence with the blood coming out of his eyes? After the kid got infected at the end, wasn't blood coming out of his eyes the same way?

My biggest issue with the show is that I can't picture any type of endgame. 4 seasons in, and if you asked me what I would predict for the ending of the show I couldn't tell you. They spent a lot of time at the farm, now a lot of time at the prison. I'm kind of ready for them to move on, even outside of Georgia. I know this isn't in the comics, but if they aren't going to follow the comics, they can follow their own rules now.

I don't know I hope they aren't just moping around the prison dealing with day to day shyt again this season.

They did move outside the prison when the Gov came thru and crushed the buildings in the comics, they go to DC.

this isn't an end game type of show. hypothetically, it can go on as long as the ratings support it. all of the current survivors could die off and be replaced by a new group and the show would still be the same. hell, there's only 3 living characters from season 1 and that's rick, carl and glenn. hell, with the comics, kirkman said rick will die at some point. the story might become about carls journey from there on out.

this could go on for 10+ seasons easy, the storyline is already mapped for it. actually, AMC is already doubling down with a spin off series. :heh: they're going to milk this cow for awhile

For sure, but I wish they'd do that on the show. Obviously for tax reasons they will probably always film it in GA, so I'm not expecting them to actually follow the comics. I just think it'd be cool to get on a new location for even a little bit. I really enjoyed when they sent to the CDC in season 1.
