I agree with this.

I remember some years ago when the Bears traded for a linebacker who was a former top pick in the draft. He really didn't do well at all. Of course fans and media bashed him for his bad play....as they would any other player.

He ended up dying of cancer in the offseason. Afterwards, some local columnist posts an article shaming everyone for criticizing his play.

So that it will be a lesson learned. This thread really wasn't meant to come down on people per se, just to give them some much needed perspective. That's why I stated "lesson" in the title and referred to them as brehs. It wasn't meant to be a bashfest.

However, when people came in here giving heated, defensive replies, it cultivated heated, defensive replies in return...with my replies to their posts being a prime example of the contagiousness of it

Just because they're celebrities, doesn't mean they're not human. I know we're here for the jokes and such but when something don't look right, doesn't mean it's still time to laugh. Questioning if his look was for a role I think was fair but never just assume the darkest thing cause he didn't look how you're accustomed too. He kept that disease hidden for a reason.
