Federal grant money is why the water system infrastructure was able to be modernized and why lead service lines have been replaced in Flint. The vast majority of that work has already been completed. Still, it shouldn't have taken so long.

They really need to change the messaging on this. Most of that money is literally weapons/equipment we had just sitting around. But most people don't research and just run with the headline

Most is very literal in this case. It's barely over half. There's a lot of Financial and Humanitarian aid going to Ukraine. Aid that could have, on a federal level, helped A LOT of people in the US.
