When a shutdown happens all them people should be locked in a room until a deal is reached.
Yeap I saw a lot of my coworkers who were pro Republicans were some of the first ones crying that they weren't getting paid and taking out loans on their TSP. But still think that the R's are fighting for them or complaining about what othersare getting
But they wanted 24 Billion before this legislative fight. They only reduce it to 6 Billion because they know the optics looks bad. I haven't seen the Democrats mention cutting assistance programs once on any news program. All they keep mentioning is trying to make sure Ukraine gets their money. They just suck at playing Politics is all.
And they seem to care more about illegal aliens than their own citizens.
I've yet to see any Democrats bring up assistance or any domestic programs. All I see them crying about on TV is Ukraine funding or illegals. They should be talking up domestic programs as much as they can but don't.
It's probably too late to change the narrative now. After being fooled by this fake Republican civil war. Anybody with a brain could see McCarthy wasn't gonna turn against hardliners for long. It was probably all just a ruse to waste time and forcing a shutdown.
I hate to admit it but these clowns need Pelosi back in the House.

The issue is that they struck an agreement for spending levels in the debt ceiling debacle. Now the R's are trying to cut spending even more on everything except the military, social security, and Medicare. Ukraine is the sleigh of hand they're using to keep people distracted. The D's are terrible at messaging this fact. But that has been their M.O. for as long as I've been alive. But those hardliners are legit anarchists. They want to shut it down just to show how ineffective the government is even though they're the cause of it. We legit have reps from the smallest counties with the least financial impact dictating how the largest economy in the world moves....smh
They really need to change the messaging on this. Most of that money is literally weapons/equipment we had just sitting around. But most people don't research and just run with the headline
