I don't mind Tobias

But not Tobias and Monroe or Lopez :camby:

I don't care if getting Lopez would weaken the Nets, I don't want that soft brittle fakkit anywhere near here

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
I just don't get why people are so down on this team

We were tied for the best record in the east from February 3rd on

Cleveland Boston both won 23 games after that date

Had we played pretty much anybody but Cleveland in the first round, I'd confidently argue that we could beat just about any team in the east in a seven game series aside from maybe Chicago... But could we beat Atlanta? Yes, they were frauds... Could we have beaten Washington? Not sure, that would have probably been a hell of a series tho... Brooklyn? Toronto? Hell yes.

We are going to be an even better team... We will add at least one big name free agent, and probably two second tier guys (like the robin Lopez, Paul Pierce combination that's been rumored)

We can easily get rid of Gerald wallace's expiring contract and clear another almost 12 million in cap space... Just attach our crappiest first rounder and maybe even some seconds if that's what it takes and some team will absorb that contract for a pick(s)

We still have all these picks

2016
Brooklyn (could easily be one of the worst teams in the league next season, especially if they lose Lopez and/or young as they won't have the cap space to replace them along with no trade assets)

Dallas (I believe top 7 protected?). Could be a lottery pick though as Dallas is losing rondo, Ellis, and Chandler to free agency... Doesn't appear neither come get, it's Dallas so they'll get somebody but this couldn't have been their original plan when they traded for rondo)

Minnesota (if they are in the lottery then it turns into their unprotected 2nd rounders for the next two years, but wiggins will be a year better, they added towns and jones, Rubio will be healthy, it's not impossible they surprise people and sneak into the back half of the playoffs... It'd be awesome to see)

We also have our own draft pick, which I project to be in the 18-25 range)

2nd rounders for 2016: Philadelphia, Minnesota,Miami, Cleveland, Dallas... There may be protections on these picks but I think we have 4 total in the second round, can't imagine these will ever matter except as an extra piece in a trade offer aside from maybe one pick we might use)

2017 draft

1st round: Boston (we have the right to swap picks with the Brooklyn Nets, once again Brooklyn does not have a bright future, it's strongly likely that we will be using our right to swap with Brooklyn and moving up at least 10 picks in the future round)

2nd round: Boston, Cleveland, Minnesota (again, most likely trade chips)

2018 draft

1st round: Boston, Brooklyn (again, Brooklyn appears to be going downhill and with us having control of all their best draft picks which could all be lottery picks, they have no way to improve their team thru the draft or in free agency)

2nd round: Boston

2019 draft

1st round: Boston

We also have a Memphis unprotected first rounder, this is likely the year we will use it, too far ahead to even guess at what kind of shape Memphis will be in at that point but it's possible they lose gasol this season

2nd round: Boston

Our youth will get better... Smart and young have been displaying a great work ethic over the offseason and have been heavily involved in all sorts of workouts with the team. James young has put on muscle and is motivated to prove himself... We really just need one of young and hunter to reach close to their potential, but if they both do our offense could be insane... Especially with our team being more defensive oriented, adding that kind of firepower to what can at times be a stagnant effort offensively could be huge

Jerebko and Crowder are both coming back... Crowder might be something like 24 million for 4 years, anything less than that and it's a bargain... I could see Jerebko coming back on a 2 year deal, around 8 or 9 million, I think he should be brought back as excellent depth considering one of sullinger and olynyk is likely gone... I could also see bass being brought back if KO and Sullinger are both traded... Again, he'd be good depth, and if he's our 3rd or 4th big off the bench, I'd say we have a good team.

I do believe we are in the running for Love and are most likely in the top 3 for his services against Cleveland, and the lakers

We've been mentioned as one of the two teams that Greg Monroe is deciding between (NY being the other one)

We are the leading suitors along with Detroit for Tobias Harris

We've been mentioned as bidding against the Clippers to bring back Paul Pierce... I actually think it's likely Pierce rejoins Boston and ends his career here, and then working in the Boston front office as Danny ainge's successor

We've also been rumored as having interest in Robin Lopez as an addition to the team along with Pierce to motivate Love to join what could be a top 3 team in the east

Javale McGee is on our radar, probably as plan Z but with McGee, there is talent there... It's a mature of him growing up and changing his ways ala Hassan Whiteside... Wouldn't be shocking if Stevens can make him into a good addition

Back to the draft picks, I don't think anyone doubts that hunter is gonna be a stud, like I said previous, we really just need one of hunter and young to break out... They both have crazy upside IMO... Young may have more upside but I wouldn't be shocked to see hunter getting more minutes this season either

People are going to fukking love Rozier, hes fun to watch, will instantly be one of the five fastest players in the league, plays hard nosed defense, hustle plays all day, and can get in the paint just as easily as Isaiah... He's an absolute competitor and Boston people will call him a reach at 16 after seeing him play... It'll be the opposite

Rozier and Hunter were both the best offensive players on their teams and were swarmed defensively all season last year, they should eat well in the Celtics offense with more room to breathe

Mickey will play minutes on this team, he's by far the most athletic big man we have and his defense in the paint will be a welcome addition

I want to watch more on Thornton before I co sign him

Moral of the story is the future is very bright... We were one of the best teams in the league from February til the end of the season, especially after we added Isaiah... We are bringing back the best players from that team as well as great draft picks that will contribute and we have the flexibility to sign 2 max players

Let's wait til July 15th before we hate on the team, by then we will have a much clearer vision of what our team will look like in november

Thats all we need for hope.

It's crazy to think we could bring back crowder, Jerebko...

Sign Pierce, gasol, and another big name free agent

Plus still have all those players and draft picks to trade with (and Gerald Wallace the fukk off my team)

Yet people are being negative

What do you brehs think of Greg Monroe? I like his offensive game, but defensively he seems mediocre. We need some guys that will defend the post gotdammit.

On another note, I'm a little nervous of Brooklyn signing top free agents after next year when the salary cap gets insanely huge, and having to pick in the teens and twenties with the picks we get from them. We need the Nets to suck for the next 3 years. I'm also hoping the Mavs and TWolves barely miss the playoffs and get a couple late lottery picks.
