LeBron earned his way into the conversation in his youth the way everyone else did: being the most dominant player in The League, and that dominance was validated by wins, titles, and MVPs...

His showings in the playoffs are of such an iconic stature that the only person I'll even entertain as a better playoff performer EVER, is Mike. There's nobody else even worth mentioning with Bron. It took fam until he was like Y18 or some shyt to lose a first round series, most the greats careers were over by 18 years...

Having only one scoring title is such a weak way to view someone's scoring prowess, and for the record I'm more confident in my belief he's the best player ever, than best scorer. But he's in the conversation for GOAT scorer too 🤣 you know there are 22 guys with 2+ scoring titles in NBA history. I know damn well you don't think there's been 22 greater scorers than LeBron in NBA history 😂

Of all the guys I've seen in a quarter century watching NBA ball, the only ones I'd even entertain as greater scorers than Bron are Kobe and Durant, and ultimately I'd take Bron over both because he routinely got buckets with more responsibilities than those two, especially in the postseason. How many times did Kobe or Durant have to, in addition to being their team's top scorer, also be their teams best defender and best playmaker?

Bron had to wear all three hats more often, and also took teams further while wearing all three hats and still getting buckets. So I'd take him over those two because if those two had that burden consistently they wouldn't score as much, but they the only two I'd even entertain, of players I've seen, in a GOAT scorer convo with Bron...

Time will help his legacy because many of us took for granted how great he was in his heyday. No other athlete of the modern era was nitpicked to death the way Bron was. That's not even debatable...

Lastly, he didn't need to accomplish everything Mike did. Bron played in a tougher era, with more sophisticated schemes, coaching, and better players across the board, than Mike, and still dominated. A bunch of All-Timers could go run the 90s. Mike wasn't running the 80s, though. He's better than Mike fam and at this point has been better than Mike for a long time...

I disagree wholeheartedly. The only thing Bron stans can do is denigrate Jordan's era while never addressing the fact that Jordan, during his championship dominance, separated himself from his contemporaries more than LeBron did - by far.

Secondly, 30 years from now, fans of whoever that current best player is, will say LeBron never play against:
"sophisticated schemes, coaching, and better players across the board" - not realizing that today's information is gathered from yesterday's knowledge.

So, again, you can only fairly judge the legends on how they fared against their contemporaries. To denigrate a previous era is intellectually dishonest and lazy, and the same argument can always be used with the passage of time.

Thirdly, difficult era? Are you serious? the last 8 years of the NBA has been the equivalent of flag football (to quote Stephen A). The league today is as soft as baby wipes. Jordan up until his last chip was regularly driving to the hole against trees and never shied away from contact. Granted, his fadeaway was his go to in his last three-peat, but he still drove a lot, especially in the playoffs.

As far as Bron "having to wear more hats" - total bullshyt. The man CHOSE to wear those hats. Bron has been in the NBA 22 seasons and except for a small stint in Miami, never really learned to play off the ball nor had the inclination to. The man would rather fill the stat sheet and lose, than sacrifice his numbers by playing off the ball a little more and actually win more championships. This is why Bron ball hasn't been as successful against intelligent teams coming out the West, in the Finals. Two of his championships didn't even come from an 82 game season.

Jordan on the other hand, bought into a system from an unknown, unheralded, rookie coach. This rookie coach told him "your numbers are going to decline (points, assists, etc.) but the team will achieve greater success. What would have happened to Phil Jackson if he had approached LeBron with the same proposition? A rookie coach, what would have happened?

Bron stans LOVE the team argument only when it's convenient for them. You ignorantly try to use Jordan's lack of champion success in the 80s as a cudgel against him. Not taking into account that Jordan joined one of the worst teams in the NBA and the organization slowly built a team around him. Once Pippen finally became a star in 1990, Jordan never lost. But Pippen didn't walk on to the floor a star, he developed into one. And Pippen by his very own words stated, at his HOF, speech that he wouldn't have been the player he became had it not been for being able to practice against Jordan every day.

Would LeBron had allowed Pippen to develop? Don't lie to yourself either.

Best defender? AD was the best defender and Wade had more blocks and nearly the same amount of steals during their run together.

Time will hurt his legacy. Once he retires, former and current players will speak out. The man has shown no loyalty to teammates, told Wade he was leaving 5 minutes before he told the rest of the world and then doesn't even show up to his HOF ceremony. He colluded with two franchise players, who happened to be 2 of the top 5 picks of his NBA draft class, again franchise players for their own teams, in the SAME conference, and teams up with them.

Then, when he sees Wade declining, he once again hops back to Cleveland cause he's on Kyrie's dyck, and gets Cleveland to trade Wiggins for Love - who he turns into a spot up shooter.

Then, he goes to LA, and uses his agency to get AD to essentially break a newly signed contract and demands a trade. Then, he gets the FO to sign Westbrook, only to be a passive-aggressive bytch by allowing Westbrook to take all the bullets for the Lakers failures. I can keep going. I've seen LeBron score 8 points in an NBA Finals and I've seen peak LeBron score 7 points in a closeout game in the playoffs against Indiana.

Jordan was truly elite on both ends of the floor. During his time with Pippen, Pippen's defensive numbers were just a tad better than Jordan's defensive numbers. But remember, in the playoffs Pippen had slightly more blocks than Jordan but Jordan had more steals. Pippen was giving you 18ppg on 44% shooting, while Jordan was defensively elite while giving you 33.4ppg on 48.7% from the field.

I don't blame you for your ignorance because by your own admission you been watching the NBA since 1999. I've been watching the NBA since 1988. But I'll tell you this...in the playoffs, when the game was on the line, there was NO ONE opposing fans and players feared more with the ball in his hands than Jordan NO ONE. LeBron has NEVER instilled that same type of fear.

I can keep going, because there's a lot more evidence supporting my position than yours. But I'll chill for now.

Titles that came from team hopping and handpicking different top 5 players (of the whole league or position) that covered his deficiencies? And then when things ran their course, he'd jump ship like a quitter to do it over again with a new team? Compare that to MJ who made a dynasty out of a no name organization with 1 sidekick teammate who grew into being an Allstar and all time great after coming into the NBA as a no name. While Lebron joined his rival and the 2nd best player in his conference who already won a championship as the lead (Wade) combined with a top 5 PF in the league (Bosh) who stood in the place of who they originally wanted (Carmelo). Then he jumps ship to go to Cleveland to play with an ascending top 5 PG in Kyrie and another top 5 PF in Kevin Love. Then when that runs its course, he quits to join a top 5 player in the league in AD. Theres no comparison when MJ achieved more with less..

Why would anyone care about what Bron boys "entertain" in their quest to prop up Lebron? When one player has 1 scoring title and averaged less PPG in the regular season and playoffs and the other has 10 scoring titles and higher regular/playoff PPG then its clear who was the better scorer. Its undebatable and the only thing you can hang your hat on is fluff words and longevity...

The difference is that Kobe, MJ, and KD could fit in and play in any offensive system while Lebron has to play in a system that totally revolves around him. Thats why they didn't have to wear "3 hats" because they had the willingness and ability to work within systems that didn't totally revolve around them. On the flip, players had to change their game (Wade, Bosh Love) to fit in with Bron.

Its clear you don't have a pulse on convos going on around Bron if you think his name isn't on a downswing right now especially with Bronny stunt he pulled. If he had simply let his play talk for itself, then he'd be loved and championed for the great player he is. Instead he moved like a politician trying to mold people's perception of him into being something he's not. He's pretty much the Drake of the NBA
Lastly, he didn't need to accomplish everything Mike did.
Yea and you say that because you know he can't catch Mike. So all you have left is diminishing MJ's accomplishments and the competition he played against. You're essentially forcing MJ off the pedestal his accomplishments place him on so it looks like Lebron can actually compete. But when we take in the fact that if you subtract what Lebron did from what MJ did, you have the career of KD lol. Theres no comparison unless we're talking about Bronboys and people that follow LeKlutch media...

nikkas talmbout...... top 20 :laff::laff: it aint even bout he playin bad defense or gettin cooked that nikka straight up not playin ANY defense at all specially when it come to perimeter or transition. He barely move out there unless he got the ball. nikka will be not playin D, not coverin anyone, not rotatin, not gettin back in transition..... but when he get the ball and get his 20/8/10 nikkas will be sayin he top 10 :gladbron: how you a bottom 5 defense when you got a generational defender like AD anchorin that shyt its cause of cones like this ain't the only LA season either. Bron defense wasn't always this bad but most season since he left Heat Culture and Spo he barely been playin defense specially consistently he don't like those defensive coaches that don't let him take shyt off that why he wanted JJ and why he wanted Vogel fired even after success cause he was workin em. That why he ain't even been considered All Defense in like a decade :childplease::mjlol: but let em pick his spots and have stretches where he go off and overratin starts :camby:

If he's your 3rd or 4th option, you're in good shape.

If he's #1 or 2.....breh can't carry you to 55 wins like he used to just off sheer will. Father Time is undefeated but Bron gave him a run.

Breh started when I was a senior in H.S., and now I'm a year away from turning 40. Survived the choppa suit era, skinny jeans era.....retirement time.
Bron was drafted, the summer I was going into 9th grade. I still remember watching his high school games on ESPN in 8th and 7th grade...

Its been time. Once an ironman, when he started getting hurt consistently it was time to go. I woulda been cool with him retiring after an even 20 in '23. That woulda been 3 years trying to reclaim a title but couldn't stay healthy and production was decreasing by the year...

Greatest player to play the sport, my mind cant be changed on this unless someone better comes along. I'm a historian of the game and I've watched it with my own eyes, going on 26 years...

But its time to let it go...
