I didn't just extrapolate though. If I extrapolated to 50 shots then he would have shot 31-50 with 10 threes, scored 84 without even increasing his free throws. I was assuming even if he did poorly on the other 19 shots. And yeah, it's just a thought experiment, there's no way to really know what would happen in that scenario.

The amount of energy it takes to just throw up jumpers isn't that high at all though unless you're doing crazy shyt to get open. Kobe was 37 and had looked washed for 3 years when he threw up his 50-shot game, it's not like his old ass collapsed on the court afterwards. Looking at the record book Rick Barry has 49 and 50 shot games, Elgin Baylor has a 55 shot game, Joe Fulks shot over 50 three different times (one of them going 13-55 for 35 points lol).
