i know this dude is a troll but fukk it, i will give a serious answer.
the only reason our justice system has any legitimacy is because a guy like this can get a fair shot. when lawyers refuse to defend a guy like this, they are failing society. this guy is going to get the book thrown at him because this is a slam dunk case, so there is no need to act like a scorned bytch about it. this isnt even one of the trickier cases that should make you question the right of the accused to have a defense.

i only said "any legitimacy", to imply that there is not a lot of it, but what little is left, is due to the fact that you can see absolute scumbags get a vigorous defense.
anyway, the reason it is seen as broken and corrupt has everything to do with the government and big business, and not some overworked and underpaid public defender
nobody like lawyers, until they need one...
That has more to do with the laws, and the level of discretion given to prosecutors. Those two things more than anything.
