No, you dropped out of law school because you make shytty arguments like this.
Tell me more about how people the attorneys in the DOJ's Civil Rights Division, Human Rights Watch, EEOC, every attorney who does pro bono, Thurgood Marshall, public defenders, LegalAid, the law students who advocated against sweatshops, etc., are just horrible people.

the only reason our justice system has any legitimacy is because a guy like this can get a fair shot. when lawyers refuse to defend a guy like this, they are failing society. this guy is going to get the book thrown at him because this is a slam dunk case, so there is no need to act like a scorned bytch about it. this isnt even one of the trickier cases that should make you question the right of the accused to have a defense.

anyway, the reason it is seen as broken and corrupt has everything to do with the government and big business, and not some overworked and underpaid public defender
That has more to do with the laws, and the level of discretion given to prosecutors. Those two things more than anything.

It the way the game is. Everyone is entitled to representation in court. If the lawyer doesn't want to he or she can try to recuse themselves for a variety of reasons. The judge will still have to appoint a lawyer to do it or the defendant can defend himself. It's just the way our "justice system" is set up.

I'm not sure if there is any legitimacy. It's all about money from the top to the bottom. The state and federal governments are trying to suck everyone dry and feed private prison corporations. Even the local governments get in on it from city and town courts filling their coffers to counties and their county jails getting paid to host federal and state prisoners.

I dont know about nobody but a significant portion, but you're on point with this statement for the most part.
You guys forget that not all cases go to trial, MANY end up in a resolution with a guilty plea, its there that they argue over an appropriate sentence. So to you "lawyers are immoral" critics, the "criminal" has done the first half of what you wished for by pleading guilty and that's when a properly instructed lawyer will get the best possible sentence with the circumstances.
A lot of people who bash on lawyers are the same ones wishing Johnnie Cochran was alive or the closest to him when a friend, family member, etc. is charged

I think that our justice system is a reflection of the majority caste in our society. If you are poor you will get fukked to high heaven because we generally look down on the poor in this country. If you are rich, jail or prison is optional because the way we perceive our rich people. Lindsay Lohan should have been in jail three or four times for the shyt she has done. But she get a pass.
It's the fact that our "justice" system has been and always will be unfair to the least amongst us. There are good lawyers out there who are trying to change the system but most of the time it comes down to the judge's mood or even their political affiliation to decide which side justice lands on.
