Ties are more important in secondary markets than major markets like NY, DC, CHI, LA. Those major markets know people want to move there, however smaller markets are suspious of your intentions.

Interesting is definitely the word I’d use as well but I’d say it was a net positive. I’d been out of school for a bit so there was definitely a learning curve

It's natural especially if you talk about it right after the exam people are confidently rattling off their answers which may be wrong but somehow if you feel like you didn't put the exact thing down, you may feel down but that doesn't mean anything.
