If he didn't turn it down his daughter probably would'nt have become a pornstar. Anytime one thing changes in the past it affects multiple things in the future. Butterfly Effect.
fukk montana= fish got a career to navigate. his ex shorty can handle that drama

The Pulp Fiction Oral History: Uma Thurman, Quentin Tarantino, and John Travolta Retrace the Movie’s Making

The role of Jules Winnfield proved difficult to cast, mainly because Samuel L. Jackson was under the impression the part was his, until he found out he was in danger of losing the role to Paul Calderon. Jackson flew out to L.A. for a last-ditch audition with Tarantino. “I sort of was angry, pissed, tired,” Jackson recalls. He was also hungry, so he bought a takeout burger on his way to the studio, only to find nobody there to greet him. “When they came back, a line producer or somebody who was with them said, ‘I love your work, Mr. Fishburne,’” says Jackson. “It was like a slow burn. He doesn’t know who I am? I was kind of like, fukk it. At that point I really didn’t care.” Gladstein remembers Jackson’s audition: “In comes Sam with a burger in his hand and a drink in the other hand and stinking like fast food. Me and Quentin and Lawrence were sitting on the couch, and he walked in and just started sipping that shake and biting that burger and looking at all of us. I was scared shytless. I thought that this guy was going to shoot a gun right through my head. His eyes were popping out of his head. And he just stole the part.” Lawrence Bender adds, “He was the guy you see in the movie. He said, ‘Do you think you’re going to give this part to somebody else? I’m going to blow you motherfukkers away.’”

it's always interesting when i hear about actors turning down roles to eventual hits.....

but it transcends into every aspect of life...sometimes you gotta know when to take risks and when to hold back......for every actor that turned down a hit theres another that took the roll and bombed or it negatively effected their career

Me too. I was watching the movies that made us on Netflix and they talk about who they were going to cast in Die Hard before landing on Bruce Willis.

They also have an episode on Ghostbusters. People always say Eddy Murphy was supposed to be Winston but originally he was supposed to be Bill Murray's character. When they got to casting Winsethey didn't have enough money and didn't go for Murphy. John Belushi was supposed to be Egon but he died while Dan Aykroyd was writing/pitching the movie.

fukk Tarantino, they didn't want to pay him $1M for a lead on a $300 million movie? Fishburne made the right decision and banked off the Matrix. He didn't end up with SLJ's career, but he was never going to be him anyway.
