I don't how he thought that was a good move. Name one good western comedy. aint none.
Blazing saddles/BTTF 3....but yea will was an idiot for that one...think part of the reason was soundtrack money...he wasnt going to make a song for matrix.

I’m glad he didn’t but I could see him in that role. More I think about it, the more it seems like he should have.

Maverick is dope. As is 3 amigos. And back to the future 3. Your slander right now:ufdup:

But Maverick is just a big screen version of the tv show. A con man in the west. It's really hard to mess that up on any level as long as you cast it right. And they did. Plus had Richard Donner directing when he was still Richard Donner.

3 Amigos is my guilty pleasure wit mad quotables. 80s comedy classic.

:mjlol: will chose wild wild west instead, which was atrocious.

I'm not saying he should've chose Wild Wild West :mjlol: When he sat down with the Wachowski's and heard the premise it sounded weird and insane. Don't think back then, hearing someone pitch the Matrix was a slam dunk. Plus the aesthetics they talked about sounded out there. And remember at the time, the Wachowski's were known for making a B level movie in BOUND.

Matrix was not a slam dunk by any means.

It worked for the best in both films Pulp Fiction and Die Hard

Sam has a certain type of unintentional humor he brought to those roles that Fishburne couldn't pull off I think.. Like Sam is being serious in both those films but it's still a funny charisma he has that made those roles classics..

But this is no knock on Larry as Morpheus wouldn't have been as good if Sam played him..

And honestly I could see Val Kilmer being Morpheus before I could see Will being Neo..

I've tried to see Will as Neo ever since I heard that he turned it down and I just can't see it for some reason
