You're comparing nations which is apples and oranges, let them tell it that's not what America is about so these other places don't matter. Yeah we have it better than most people, but so do most homeless people. Doesn't make it right, trust me, as a black man you have to work twice as hard to make it half as far, most people don't have the energy to fight so they just accept it instead. That's social conditioning, it's a tactic and it's been perfected to the point where we have the illusion of full equality but that's so that the blame can be shifted.




On another note unrelated to your post so don't think I'm preaching to you fam this is just a general statement, my great Grandmother was the daughter of a woman that was born during slavery, and even though slavery was abolished on paper, she wasn't free, my great great grandmother didn't even know her father because he just "disappeared" one day. No white person I know can say that and even though she was nearly 100 when she died nearly 20 years ago, I was alive. No white person I know was told at any point in their lives that they couldn't eat in a particular restaurant or drink from a certain water fountain or had to go the the school that whites abandoned because they built themselves a new one or live in fear of being killed just for looking at people that felt they were superior. shyt sounds like I'm talking about the 1800s but I'm talking about the 60s. A whole different generation that my actual parents lived through and they have the nerve to say they had no part in this.

That means we should have higher standards, but reparations or not, to admit that black people are still being held down means giving up that power. The playing field ain’t level and it will never be level. Knowing that and like you said before we got to work 2x harder it’s just the way the cookie crumble...so knowing all that we need to take advantage of all the opportunities we got in America and use that to get ahead.
