This deserves it's own post.

Would Kemba Walker get us to the finals? Maybe not.

Would Kemba Walker get the critics to believe the Knicks won the offseason? Definitely not.

Would Kemba Walker thrive in an underdog situation? He's done it already.

Would Kemba Walker be the type of player I'd love to root for? Damn fukking right.

I'm going to be selfish right now. I know a lot of y'all are fans of "winning a chip". I'm a fan of Cinderella stories, underdog victories and highly competitive & strong minded players.

I want Kemba Walker next year more than I want Kyrie. Even if Kyrie came with a for sure championship...I'd rather root for Kemba Walker.

I don't give a fukk.

When you let ntilikina do his thing and let him play.:ohhh::wow::mjgrin:

18 points in garbage time after an awful scoreless first half :ohhh:

He finally moved off the ball with purpose and canned his wide open three points shots and he finally used screens to his advantage and knocked down his midrange pull ups.

You know he finally did the bare minimum things he should be doing offensively :ohhh:

We appreciate basketball, not a game of horse.

It's not all about offense.

At the end of the day, if we construct a solid squad, Frank Ntilikina is a strength on the team.

I'm a fan of the kid. I am disappointed in his lack of offensive tenacity and development, but he's a fukking Knick.

On some Fandom shyt... Yea, I'm going to Stan him.

But on some x's and o's basketball shyt... The kid has a talent and if implemented the right way... He can be a big plus on the team.

Misleading stats. Obviously the defense would improve as he came in with a defensive oriented line up and Denver's sizzling start would not be sustainable. Mitch was the lynch pin with a team leading 108 defensive rating in that game.

I rooted for the kid hard, raved about his potential from the start, but I ain't stanning nikkas just because they're on the team. He's an 8th pick, we invested a lot into him, and he's been very underwhelming.

See, this is where you fukked up.

This isn't a light off/on scenario.

There are 3 options:

Stan.
Be neutral and objective.
Be a straight up a$$hole gloating about shyt regarding a player on your team.

You don't have to stan the nikka, breh.

Kemba is more low maintenance and a better leader in terms of temperament than Kyrie, he's also more durable than Kyrie in terms of health.

Agreed.

He's a real home town hero.

He really has that "I'm about business" dog demeanor.

Kyrie Irving does something that costs us an important game... I'm feeling like shyt and I'm probably going to feel worse when I hear what he has to say in the post game interview.

Kemba does something that costs us a fukking playoff run... I'd feel like shyt but I know he'd be able to say some shyt in that post game interview that'll have me like... :mjcry::francis::ehh::dwillhuh::salute:

:wow: Great video. I’d love having Kemba. He’s all heart

Him and KD would be just as good as KD and Kyrie :manny:

I like Kemba a lot, underrated defense and he's a straight up gamer. My only fears with him are that he's small and a bit older than I'd like for the price tag and years we'd hand out.

Personally, unless we need to convince a KD or Kawhi to come; I'm passing on Kemba and focusing on developing DSJ, Frank and/or potentially Morant or Garland depending on how the draft plays out. If we didn't land that KD or Kawhi piece; I'd rather forego any of these max cats and sell off the cap space for more assets...I realize that'd probably drive the fan base crazy and isn't all that realistic though.
Sidenote too: You're one of a few heads with opinions I really appreciate that have bigged up Kemba, so while I'm in a different mode. I respect the case you lay out fam, it's a good sell and I wouldn't be mad at this result even though it's not my first choice.

If I rated the Max FA's I'd go
Kawhi/KD (the centerpiece)
Kyrie/Klay (the second star)
Kemba/Khris/Butler (if we're determined to spend the cap space on stars or one of these guys convinces one of the above to join)

Respect but I don't think we should go with off-brand free agents because the money is burning holes in our pockets.

I like Kemba, but he is undersized...and the way he plays seems to indicate a short shelf-life, if not constant injuries in the near future. Lots of jumping and energy is needed for him to be effective. Think about it.

I don't know brehs...

Just an opinion. I think we get KD and Kyrie...and Zion/Ja. Seems likely to me.

Just look at this mentality.

I NEVER agree with my jawn in public. I don't care how hype she's getting. I go in close and in her ear I say, "Listen, I understand you're mad. Curse me out at the top of your lungs when we get in the car or back to the crib. We not doing this arguing in the street shyt so people could take us as a show. Don't perform for nobody. We can go now and let's go talk"

This nikka needs to save all of that talking for a players meeting like a fukking leader should. :snoop:

Could you imagine on the Knicks?

"Kyrie, you started the season with alot of optimism and the season is still young but are you concerned about this 4 game losing streak?"

Kyrie: "Well, you know, I came here with the mindstate of being a player. You need to ask coach about expectations and management."

"Kyrie, do you feel a toll on you by bearing the weight of the team as many of your roster are very young?"

Kyrie: "Honestly, we are professionals, you know. Grown men. It wasn't long ago, I had to switch from low expectations and development to having to play with a competitive star and be ready to compete on the floor. You can't have development be a focus when we are fighting for a championship at the end of the day."
