That’s why the knicks won’t become a franchise like the spurs:scust:

We got a whole bunch of impatient fukks that give up on a 20 year old midway through his second year. Dude on a cheap contract and y’all willing to toss him for nothing when he’s our best defensive guard.

Some of y’all the type to give up on a victor oladipo, D Russell or Stephen curry and when he’s on another team showing out y’all kicking y’all selves in the ass.

LOL... yea... hurts to say it but you gotta face the facts. He'll be middling to decent but not a star. Do we NEEEEED to have stars in every position though? To compete in the NBA we need shooooooters. 3s for days and a couple of strong big men inside to stretch the floor. Big bonus if they can shoot too.

It ain’t just Frank, we had people turning on Knox not too long ago.

1994 is the last time we re-signed a first round draft pick. There are people in our fan base who have literally never seen the Knicks develop a home grown player. Combine that with the length of time the team's been bad and there's added pressure to not just gain players that give you quality minutes, but to draft stars. So people are quick to turn on a player in this environment (beatwriters don't help much either). DSJ was catching strays too, I remember defending him bc his fall off in quality coincided with our return to two big man line-ups that hurt spacing (and Mudiay's recent couple of quality offensive games coincide with Hezonja starting at the 4).

Even the FO and owners are like that. Dolan talking about the team will be vastly different next season. I just want to develop our own talent. I’ve no problem with getting stars through FA but to just throw young kids away cause they’re not doing well especially when the team isn’t really developing them just don’t sit right with me.

I will always ride for my dawg frank!:blessed:

But Foreal though we never develop our talent and let em stay with the franchise. In 10 years you’ll see lance got dammit Thomas getting commemorated at games :mjlol:

I’m surprised he’s been here so long:ohhh:

I get that, but you also have to understand just because someone is young doesn't mean they're any good and it doesn't guarantee they'll improve.

True, but if I were gonna guess without doing any actually looking into it any deeper...I'd guess that most 20 year olds do improve their games and this 20 year old already has an above average skillset on one side of the ball. The improvement necessary to be a consistent positive contributor is literally just the jumper.
