Right when I said we should send Frank to work with Allan too :ld:

But I think we should just shut DSJ down. I feel him when he says he wants to play but the risks ain't worth the rewards.

Both DSJ and frank down:snoop: the two point guards I prefer. Guess fiz will have his way with mudiay:dame: I want kyrie to come but he’s another broken ass point guard . Wtf none of these dudes are durable.:beli:

Didn't bother developing any defensive accountabillity, no one improved defensively except for Mitch after DJ started coaching him and he doesn't play defensive players anyway. But hey...the front office has enough cash to bail him out. I legitimately think more players showed regression on that end than improvement (Dotson being the clearest example).

This roster never stood a chance at playin any defense bruh.no matter who the coach was. Fitz is right, we need more defensive players first. But the focal point still needs to be offense

Don't get me wrong, the point isn't that this could have been a great defense or anything like that. It's that he hasn't done anything to address or improve the players on the team defensively (Mitch is the only one improving and that started when DJ arrived, so I'm skeptical of Fizdale's impact when everyone else has gotten worse or been stagnant). There's a big difference in saying the defense should be good and saying that the defense could be better than what it is.

What could have Fiz done defensively with a roster full of sieves

Knox, Hezonja, Burke, Kanter, Hardaway, Jr., Trier all minus defenders, some of those guys among the worst at their positions and overall this is a very young team. Our two best defenders Ntlikina and Robinson are very foul prone. Lance Thomas is considered one of our defensive stoppers.

I don’t like the rap Fiz is getting at all. When he was in Memphis the Grizzlies were 7th in defensive rating. As an assistant in Miami they fielded great defenses. We have no type of coaching continuity because nikkas always wanna complain.

I think ppl are more mad and judging him because Mudiay is getting more minutes over Frank but we don't see how bad in shape Frank is like the FO does. We also don't have a team full of all stars. These are bench player caliber teams developing into all stars. My only hope is that Knox comes back healthy and we find him a good mentor, Mitch learns how to stay out of foul trouble and Damyeon transitions into an all star player. Say we don't get to max free agents, we can get 3-4 really good role players a nice draft pick and still have a playoff team next season with good picks for the next 5 years to build into an L.A. clippers like organization.

I understand the frustation, but how do you coach winning basketball when everyone and their mama knows the best path forward is to lose now?
