I don't understand your logic at all when it comes to you harping over trading KP. This trade happened BECAUSE KP wanted out. KP didn't get traded BECAUSE we wanted cap space. Your whole line of thinking is weird af.
I'm not harping over trading KP, I'm harping over trading him for cap space and mediocre talent (DSJ).

And according to Chris Mannix tweet they didn't do much of calling around to see what they could get.

I almost wish DSJ was not in the trade...

People really think it was about him...it wasn't. That was icing on the top.

This shyt had EVERYTHING to do with their plan to clear cap space & dismantling a time bomb(KP drama) before it blew up in NY.

Scott Perry is on some Mcguyver shyt.

They accomplished that goal.

Knicks righted two wrongs with the trade. 1) They got the guard majority of people/analysts said they should've drafted. 2) They got rid of THJR's contract, which again people/analysts felt that they shouldn't have given him in the first place :manny:

Just want to say, i was all for Phil trading porzingis. We could have had both tatum and markannen
Yea, as fans most of us have been wrong. We doubted Porzingas and thought the Bridges would be better than Knox, we wanted an injury prone point guard in the draft, now we're furious over the KP trade when it might've helped us especially since he's not playing over there for Robert E. Lee either.

I think DSJ can become a 20/7 guy just needs to work on his shooting and feel for the game (timing on passes, orchestrating P&R, finishing at the rim)

Could even be a dope scorer off the bench if we get a Kyrie or Kemba or a trade chip for a star

Looking forward to seeing him play and hope to see him and Ntlikina together

Wouldn’t have had to make this trade if we didn’t give thj that retarded contract. Every single fuking a person with a semi functioning brain knew that was a bad contract yet they still did it. For what?! To maybe get an 8th seed:mjlol: Jesus :snoop:

Anyway, getting rid of kp may very well be the right move but like some brehs been saying, we couldn’t get more than dsj:snoop: we couldn’t have some fuking patience and started a little bidding war:snoop:

Well we have a clean slate and a surplus of draft picks for the first time in team history. If we don’t get kd kyrie or kawhi then please don’t sign anyone :stopitslime:
keep the cap space and tank another year

No use trotting out Tobias Harris and boogie to treadmill for 5 years

KP asked for a trade. We didn't openly shop KP around hoping to relieve cap. We checked everything off the list in terms of what we would want in return. "we couldn't get more than dsj" For one, we created space for 2 max contracts this summer + future 1st round picks that can be used down the line (aka what Boston been doing since 2012). We got DJ and Wes who might reel us in some more assets come Thursday's deadline. And two, if by "more" you mean a star player in return, then you're messing up a season-long tank for the first seed. Also, DSJ is a 20 year old lottery pick coming off a stellar rookie season, put at least some respect on his name

Perry did a radio interview yesterday saying they explored options on a KP trade thoroughly for more than a month.

The odds are slim of them getting a package anywhere else that included :
- two 1st round picks
- a former lottery pick in his 2nd year
- shedding two deadweight contracts
- two vets who could be flipped before the deadline

Every single NBA trade for a star/potential star culminates in getting 75c on your dollar. I really urge anyone who has an issue with the package they received to go and look at what PG, Kyrie, Butler, etc.. were moved for and reevaluate their stance.

Dsj is an alligator armed zero guard with bad knees who ain’t leading us to shyt. I’ll stan him now cause he’s on the team but bruh looking like the next Randy Foye. He’ll probably be good enough to lead us to 5 extra wins and firmly take us out of the Zion race :francis:

Wouldn’t have to create cap space if we didn’t have those terrible contracts to begin with. :dead:

Kp acts like a teenage girl. The clown doesn’t know what he wants. Should’ve been patient instead of giving in to a rushed trade cause his bytch ass was acting up:heh:

NBA Draft - Draft Simulator - RealGM

I decided to run this random NBA lottery pick generator like some other posters did.

Ran it 50 times and the Knicks ended up with the # 1 pick only twice...

:mjcry:

To make it worse, Miami got it twice too...

:damn:

Cleveland and Atlanta got it the most times.
I ran it 20 times and the Knicks got the #1 pick 4 times

Phoenix got it the most

So I’m hearing from my cousin in NYC that he has a source and you guys can could believe me or not that there was a 3 minute meeting between KP and the front office. KP walked in their saying he wanted to play now and they tried to explain to them that they’re trying to tank to sit out and chill. They told him we’re going to give you your max money all you gotta do is sit back and relax. They said they was gonna use the first pick to try and go at AD. He then told them trade me or play me and he said yes. They asked him if we play you are you going to give us a verbal commitment to sign with us and he said no. They told are you sure you want to be traded he said yes. Knicks FO then jumped on the phones and started making deals. Not sure if it’s credible but this is what I’m hearing so just wanted to share with you all.

I think we did what was best for the squad and came out looking good.:yeshrug:

So your cousin just making shyt up then ? Since Porzingis is out for the rest of the season for Dallas also :russ:
