We didn't get young prospects, we got DSJ who is not even close to value or talent of KP. So getting anyone or multiple players better than DSJ would be a start. DSJ is an undersized two guard, with a bad knee and already out of favor with Mavs organization. Talent equivalent of this trade would be Sixers trading Ben Simmons for Frank Ntilikina and cap space (Kanter and Hezonja).

Kawhi Leonard asked to be traded and sat out on purpose and Spurs still didn't flinch. Anthony Davis asked to be traded but Pelicans are mulling over if Kuzma, Lonzo, Ingram, Zubac and a pick is enough (we got dumber front office than Pelicans :mjlol:). Paul George asked to be traded and Pacers sent him to OKC for what they wanted. Melo wanted out of Denver and they took everything and more than they wanted from us. So just because a player asks to be traded doesn't mean you have to do it immediately.

Again as far as clearing cap space goes, it only seems to only be a problem for us. Mozgov was moved, OKC was able to move Melo's contract to Atlanta for a player they needed even though the whole league knew he had to be moved (he wouldn't come off the bench and OKC would have to pay $120 million luxury tax).

And THJR's contract is not even that awful when you look at money 3rd options get. Do we have to clear cap space for free agency right now? Do we need to sign two max players next free agency?
I was tryna convince myself it was a good trade

Why u gotta drop these facts breh:mjcry:

Like dude said before, control the narrative. Don't give the opportunity for leaking and media spin and to miss out on any of the pieces of the deal they were stuck to.
I get that, but no amount of negative press would have stopped the Mavs from making this trade? They literally got rid of players they didn’t want, took on serviceable money for the chance at a player they’ve dreamed about since Dirk started getting old. At least wait and see what’s actually out there.

I've said it in here for years. Players that can ball aren't waiting for an organisation to get top picks every year.

They want moves made. No progress in the last 5 years. None.

I'd want to be gone too. Knicks got finessed and won't even get the #1 pick.

Franchise is trash.

Man I was fukking around on tankathon and we got the 5th pick TEN times in a row. :snoop:

These new odds are such horseshyt.

Wish I never saw this post.

Took 23 tries to get the 1st pick. 5th and 3rd came the most with 4th happening twice and 2nd once.

Cleveland won it most with 7 times, followed by Orlando and Washington.

What the fukk if this is really how the odds are set to go.
