I think we should go with Young if he's there. I prefer next year's crop of SFs to this year's...

Kanter needs to opt-out yesterday and we need to be on the phone to make this happen. If Bridges doesn't make it to 9, swing on Lonnie Walker and hope to land Knox at 14 where he's not such a reach.
Do we have space to take on a contract if he doesn't opt out?

If Mikal is available at 9 I’d take Robert Williams at 14. You’d rather swing on Walker than Zhaire Smith?

We could technically create space for it, but it's unlikely. Like @RickyGQ mentioned, we could find a taker for Courtney Lee's contract with no money coming back but that's a tall order. We could also move Lee for a reduced salary back and then do the same for others, Lance Thomas with his extremely guaranteed income next season fits the bill but again; dumping that much salary is unlikely without us compensating teams. Then there's a way to generate about 10 million in cap space if we waive and stretch Noah, but that means close to 8 million dollars in dead cap space through 2023. So there are ways they could get there and make it happen, but it would come at a much increased cost. Whether it's worth those additional headaches to grab that pick is anyone's guess.

Either of those guys would be a great pick up but I'm bullish on Walker. If the Smith shooting clips are legit, that might need to shift.

Walker gives me Shumpert vibes....:ld:

Although, a healthy and focused Shumpert type player is a decent player, just not someone I would pick at 9. Maybe a healthy & focused Shumpert is his floor tho, what do you see his ceiling as? Also, not feelin the other Bridges, Miles @ 9 that much anymore?

Agree on Kanter and Knox at 14 would be a good pick.
