We won the Melo trade for Kanter and the second rounder:yeshrug:
I watched the game and yeah, Willy does look really good(He's looked pretty good since the last month of last season if you ask me). Willy is gonna end up eating all of Kaminsky's minutes, and he might end up the starter before the all star break if he keeps it up.
Having Robinson makes that trade hurt a lot less though.

Yeah, I just wish we had got more for him. I think he is a 1st round pick right now...... and the knicks got 2 seconds.....

Also yeah we won the Melo trade but they paid so much to get him they never had the assets to build around him. It was a poison pill trade and he could have come as a FA that summer. shyt is irksome in how stupid it was as a trade.

I like Willy, but nobody is giving a 1st round pick for him now unless he magically develops a three point shot and becomes an average defender, he's most likely gonna end up as a quality back-up center. Two future seconds were the best they could get for him especially after his value went down after the Knicks decided to hand the starting job over to Kanter. The process behind trading him irked me though especially after the Knicks brass included him as part of their young core in their blog post and talked about player development before the season started last year.

Arguably the best perimeter defender in the nba, with a better handle ( and likely a better spot up shooter too)? I'd be happy with that. People kind of underestimate how important Roberson was to the Thunder last year.

Yea that’s a nice piece for knicks if they accept him as that

It’s just knicks fans were expecting some type of Point god or Giannis Type do everything player

Frank definitely isn’t enough of a leader or agressive enough to fit those roles especially with all the pressures of playing in a city like nyc.

we drafted him to be our point guard of the future.
if hes not our point guard of the future, and is just gonna be a natural defender (with no natural offensive skills)
than that is tellin and needs to be addressed next season.
because trey and mudiay aint our long term solution at point guard either. so we would need one.

it also means that if frank isnt our starting point guard, then he might be an bench player for us. he is not a shooting guard

if you watched the game yesterday, both mudiay and trey took turns playing "primary" point guard, so im not sure what you are talking about
Wrong! We drafted him as a project. Same with Mitch or the same with how the suns acquired Stoudemire. Sometimes it's a bust, sometimes it's a success.

Knox is going to be a problem :whew:

Everyone else sans KP & Burke ain't worth shyt.
Na bruh, don't jinx us with your shytty taste in talent. We need you rooting for Mudiay or Henry Walker or some shyt.

amare was not a project lmao
mitch was a second rounder
if you draft a pg at 8, you want him to be your long term solution at the position.
in france frank was a pg.
you can dress it up anyway you want tho:russ:

Use your googles bruh. Phil said it himself. Fizdale said it about Mitch as well. Dude would've been a potential 1 or 2 if he didn't drop out.

whats your definition of a project?
theres a difference between a project u draft in the second round and a project u draft in the top 10.
a second round project not panning out, doesnt really matter. you put more stock and have more expectations into someone you draft with the 8th pick to play a certain position.

so if he shows no signs of being able to play that position, thats something that needs to be addressed. i dont think we drafted him to be bruce bowen

A project is someone you're uncertain with. They receive smaller pay and a year to year contract. Doesn't matter what number they're picked at if only the top 5 are good.
