The Knicks reportedly have a "very good shot" at luring Kevin Durant away from the super-team Warriors.

The 30-year-old signed a two-year extension with Golden State, but he can opt out after the first, and the Knicks are looking to land a monster free agent in 2019.

"The same allure that LeBron had toward the Los Angeles Lakers, just the building, the culture, is the same thing, the same way I know that KD feels about the Knicks," Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports said Wednesday on "Undisputed."

Some of the reasons given: Durant's business partner Rich Kleiman is based in New York and a Knicks fan, their business (the Durant Company) is based in New York, and Durant's father is also a Knicks fan.

However, the Warriors still reportedly have the edge.

The Knicks are expected to be a heavy contender to snag a top free agent next offseason, whether it be Durant, Kyrie Irving (although he's alluded to wanting to remain in Boston) or Jimmy Butler.

Team president Steve Mills is hoping to make the Knicks -- who will be without Kristaps Porzingis for a good part of, if not the entire season -- look attractive to stars.

"The first thing we had to do was convince players this is a good place to play and that we have a plan, what their role is in the plan, and to make them feel comfortable that we're doing something the right way, that we're going in a positive direction and make them feel like part of something important and they're going to be part of something big," Mills had told Newsday. "And that was our goal throughout the season, to make these guys believers in us and believers in the Knicks."

Plus, the Knicks have Enes Kanter looking to help recruit Durant, which should obviously, um, help.

That guy is a pretty reputable writer. I feel like the only way KD will come here is if he collaborates with another star like the Heatles.

It’s that time of the year again. Should I get League Pass or not? Time to hit up the plug and see how much they are going for. I can’t rely on nbastreams on reddit. The preseason games have been choppy.

At best I think we have a chance with Durant if the warriors lose the finals.

If they win I think he stays for the chance to win 4 in a row.

Watching the first pre season game finally and so far Mitchell looks like he’s going to be a steal :wow:

Mudiay is weird, he actually gets to the paint with relative ease but once he’s there, it’s like he doesn’t know how to do a layup and just awkward launches that shyt :francis:
