Zion isn’t a 2 but really what’s the worst that can happen if you put him there for a stretch?

He has that type of positional versatility. His combination of craft/finesse, athleticism, smoothness around the rim is honestly reminiscent of a young LeBron James.

That in and out dribble crossover, missed finger roll, put back dunk sequence was insane.

I may be overreacting but I don’t want anyone else anymore. :dame:

The Garden would really be box office :snoop:

I still prefer Cam Reddish, also Nasir Little, though he isn't as good a scorer as Cam is,

Cam is the one with the alleged low motor right? :francis:

And RJ is the canadian, so thats a strike against him as well :heh:

Nassir Little is an intriguing prospect that Im pretty high on as well, crazy wingspan. Definitely goin to keep an eye on him, and is on my wishlist as a top option for wherever we land in the lotto

I just don’t see this Knicks’ team being bad enough to have a realistic shot at a top 3 pick. We picked 9th this year, and will have a better Coaching staff, Knox, an improved Frank (hopefully), and eventually KP back for this upcoming season. Plus, the Cavs are gonna be @ss again, so that’s another team to throw in the tank wars. I’m guessing we’ll pick between 10-12...

You are :pachaha:

Set yourself up to be disappointed, brehs :francis:

Then again, I bet a lot of us felt the same way abt Mikal heading into the draft, and a few months later we're all ecstatic to have Knox (and Mitch) and in general, overall satisfied with the draft we just had. In fact, prior to this post, can't even remember the last time Mikal's name was even mentioned ITT. Safe to say we've all moved on and are cool with Knox over Bridges. Zion may be at the top of your list, shyt, he is for me too, but keep open mind breh. Less than a yr from now you may end up liking another prospect even more :yeshrug::manny::hubie:

I think it was always understood that Knox was the younger higher upside player compared to Miles and Mikal Bridges. :hubie:

That’s why I wasn’t even mad. I wanted MPJ at that slot actually in that point of the draft even though I really liked Mikal.

But Knox a Kentucky kid and his potential was known. I get your point tho. I'd be satisfied with any of the Duke guys.

Nah, we top 5/bottom 5 bad this yr, definitely no worse/better than top 7/bottom 7. W/o KP last season the Knicks were the 2nd worst team in the league, to the tune of a 6-26 record  Project that over an entire season thats a 16-17 win pace right there.

The team that picked 11th just this past season, the Hornets, had 36 wins. I don't see how the Knicks with KP expected to miss even more time this upcoming season get anywhere close to that win total, or even crack 30 wins period.

Knox, better coaching, an offensively improved (hopefully) Frank will lead to a couple more wins then we woulda had last season with no KP sure, but not to the point of falling near the end of the lottery. Unless those lottery ping pong balls take some type of weird voodoo like bounce [:dame:] we gunna be in the top half of the lottery, for sure. Book it and bet that

Not a fan of Zion, but it's kind of crazy how the Knicks are obviously the best landing spot for him from a basketball standpoint. Does (or projects to do) everything you would want in a modern big man besides shooting (of course) and rim protection. Hypothetically, out of all of the 2018 and 2019 big men in the lottery , Williamson makes the most sense next to KP (and vice versa).

Eventually, perhaps, after he sheds a good 20-30lbs, I could envision him getting some mins at the 3......not at the moment tho
I agree, the 3 was me being generous. Lmfao at that big motherfukker playing the 2. :mjlol:

I think he imagines Shaq coming down court doing crossovers playing the point and shyt.
:scusthov: So disrespectful.

Zion, as of now, is a 4. Perhaps can even play some small ball 5. If he loses some weight can potentially play some 3, for spurts at a time. He is not, nor will he ever be, a 2guard :comeon::stopitslime::mjlol::russ:

If you're going to play any1 out of position, I'd feel a lot more comfortable doing it with Knox playing some 2, or Mitch playing some 4, or even experimenting with Frank as a small ball 3 :yeshrug: Any of those scenarios are much better alternatives than playin a dude thats damn near 300lbs as a SG :skip:

I say all this as a member of the Zion fan club, but let's cool it a little bit alright :comeon:

Ok that’s what I’m saying,

Knicks will have an extremely versatile line up

We all know Knox can play the 3 or 4. Him playing the 2 is about as much of a stretch as Zion playing it.....

But in today’s nba everyone is basically position less

All I’m saying is Knicks need to draft Zion and work him into the line up even though they seem to be set at the 3-4 position

saying Zion could play the 5 in nba but don’t believe he can play the 2 is laughable

Zion will drop down to around 270 by NBA time if he isn’t already there

Not sure how weight is a issue when Zion is still faster, quicker and a better athlete than most NBA 2s already

And ask yourself, how are smaller NBA twos gonna Guard someone big as Zion? :manny:

Disagree

Wrong. He'll have an advantage over other small ball 5s due to his athleticism and speed, that advantage becomes mitigated if you're asking him to chase around smaller, quicker 2s on the outside.....Id want him closer to the basket defensively to take advantage of his out of this world leaping ability, not sidesteppin on the perimeter tryin to keep up with the lateral foot speed of NBA 2guards. Its abt as ridiculous as asking KP to check SFs :russ:Now that's some laughable shyt :mjlol::bryan:
