I think Frank's zenith will end up being higher than Simmons in the long run. Don't get me wrong Simmons is a great defender but we haven't seen Frank get much minutes on the court with a proper coaching staff and within those minutes it was superb. He was also a 45% shooter last year. He will have more games where he'll score 17 pts.

I think that Giannis is the best player in the east next to Embiid then Tatum and Kyrie when the season starts. Defense is one our biggest problems but that is because of our line up being non defenders. Mitchell and Knox with Frank and Lee will help a lot. Maybe I'm just over enthusiastic but I see us making at the very most 7th seed while getting some wins on Philly at 5th. This is the east we're talking about, it's going to be very hard to be trash with only 4 teams dominating and the rest fighting for scraps. I have faith that KP will come back into a contending team by February but lemme stop getting my hopes up.

Nah, I don't think Frank is near Simmons as a prospect. :ld:

Don't forget about Kawhi, he in the East now.

I don't think there's any hope for our defense with Trey.I, Timmy, Hezonja, Kanter all projected to be major rotational pieces. :manny:

Nah fam, nah :mjlol:

I think you're forgetting how bad we were even prior to KP going down and how absolutely basura we were afterwards

Your scenario only comes to reality if Frank takes a gigantic Victor Oladipo type leap, Knox has a breakout Jason Tatum-ish/Donovan Mitchell-ish breakout rookie season, MRob contributes and produces immediately on some Josh Hart/Kyle Kuzma type shyt, AND KP comes back way earlier than expected (with little to no rustiness), like before X-Mas or some shyt

Maybe one or two of the above mentioned things happens but all of it? Nah. No way

Aside from that, you really think the additions of Voneleh and Hezonja bring us closer to playoff contention? :russ:

Just like Mudiay, not really expecting much from them but if they prove to be decent rotational players that'd be pretty cool. If not, oh well :yeshrug:

If the kids lead us to some extra wins this season thats great but we gunna be bad man, really bad. And thats ok, as long as the young'uns are getting consistent playing time and you can see the improvement in them throughout the season then all will be well

It’s possible... but they weren’t GREAT all last year than went on a mean streak beating up on bad teams around March and shot themselves up the rankings.
Everyone’s worried about Boston’s chemistry but Philly is the team I’m looking at with chemistry issues. Simmons and Embiid seem to have big egos. Simmons’ has been way under reported.

I disagree.Through 50 games, Philly had a 25-25 record with a top five point differential in the East, That record was a product of having a young team that sucked in the clutch. They blew a lot of close games at the end of games. The reincorporation of Fultz into the starting lineup can create different looks for them and gives the secondary ball/handler the Sixers have lacked in the halfcourt since his mysterious shooting issues. Barring any potential injury health scares, the Sixers are clearly at worst the third best team in the Eastern Conference.

I’m not saying the Sixers are gonna be ass i just feel like this season they’ll take a step back. They might bring it all together in the playoffs but I’m just not as high on that team as everyone else. Boston, Indiana and Toronto could easily out perform them next year and i wouldn’t be surprised if Washington does too.
All those teams improved their rosters over the summer (Boston by default of getting players back). The Sixers didn’t.

Toronto and Boston, sure. Indiana can take a step back: great injury luck (starting 5 only missed a total of 40 games) last year compared to the rest of the top teams, questionable shot profile on offense predicated on taking a lot of mid range jumpers bound for some type of regression and failure to address the lack of wings (especially on defense). I also need to see if this Oladipo can maintain his All-NBA level or is it just a one year wonder. Talking about "chemistry" issues between Embiid and Simmons, but the additions of Rivers and Dwight are supposed to assuage the tension in the Wizards locker room. Folks have been waiting for the Wiz kids for YEARS now and they don't deserve the benefit of the doubt. :dahell:

Those acquisitions won't even matter if the Sixers core make internal growths and Fultz emerges back his UW form. Chandler and Muscala trades seem marginal, but they're stil signifcantl upgrades over Amir Johnson, TLC and Justin Anderson. Bench shooting/scoring is one of their weaknesses, but like last year, they can easily find trade suitors/buyout candidates at the trade deadline.
