How long does it take for these rooks to usually develop? Was Lebron good on his first year? I can't remember? Not to overhype the situation, just saying...

I'd rather be cautious and skeptical so they can be a pleasant surprise. Both our young guys are super promising but have clear flaws that teams will have a scouting report ready to exploit and how long they'll need to adjust is tough to say. I think Mitch with that motor ought to find ways to be productive fast but that comes down to if he can stay outta foul trouble. Knox ought to put up points but his efficiency will probably be up and down because he's a streaky shooter and still has to get comfortable finishing with his left instead of switching back to the right hand while he goes left.

I don't have high hopes for the first year. Knox can't really finish with his left hand and I don't think he'll be able to drive to the basket against NBA teams like he did in summer league. Mitchell needs a lot of work on fundamentals and needs more weight.

Hicks offer absolutely nothing and Kornet is garbage. It doesn't matter how good your development team is if players don't have the talent there's only so much you can do with them.
Kornet showed games where he could hit threes and block shots

But Hicks? Dude has an old school PF game and body. What redeeming qualities does he have? I guess it’s because he’s the only true 4 on the roster with KP out. :scust:

Troy could have been an athletic 3&D player, I felt like he improved going into this summer.

Baker shouldn’t even be in the league he’ll be a millionaire I’m sure dude works hard but he’s one of the luckiest men on earth

Looks like they didn’t wanna pay that man

My hope is that there was agreement Troy is worth more than a Two-way contract, so they did him the favor to let him walk. He wasn't looking at a ton of minutes regardless, so maybe another opportunity would be better for him. If it was just about guaranteed money while Baker, Hicks and Kornet eat up roster space :francis:

Maybe the percentages are better than what I'm seeing but he doesn't impress me at all at the 3 point line and is way too slow footed to be impactful on defense.

And I actually like Kornet and his potential but Troy Will has been more productive and was more deserving of the type of guaranteed contract Kornet rec'v than Kornet himself

Not buying that this move is just to save some $$$ either, granted the Knicks have been more financially prudent since Perry came on board but a couple 100k aint effecting our cap situation in any way so.....

Hopefully this is a prelude to more roster moves/shake ups, this particular one is bad tho
