I agree, we've heard these types of rumors for years. I rather focus on the storyline on the player on the Knicks roster (nice rookie prospects, year 2 Dotson & Frank, Timmy playing SG exclusively, Contract year Kanter, Baker, and Super Mario)
Also unless KD happens, in my opinion that extra cap space would be better served going after Randle and Keeping Mario if the two of them play well. Trying to compete now compared to build to go to war with Philly, Bucks, Suns, and Celtics in a few seasons seem short sighted.
In KP at Center lineups rebounding and defense on Small ball 4's is going to be a problem. The way he plays offensively next to Kanter is great but then he was forced to guard small ball 4's in those lineups. Randle fixes that. Also Super Mario on the low is a underrated Point Forward. Starting or off the bench he legit may become a target to re-sign

Thank you! It's very annoying and it's not even 2019 yet. Just focus on what we have right now. Trust the process and everything will come together. I don't want to relive the 2012 moment anymore. A fresh clean start is what we are doing.
If we want to catch up to Boston and Philly. Then trust the process. We seen their blueprint. Frank, KP, Knox, Robinson, is what I'm excited about. We have a core now. Let's focus on them.

I don't want to over hype Mitchell Robinson or claim he's some can't miss star at this point, but if you showed me his summer league film and told me this kid was like the 3rd pick in the draft I would be like yea ok thats about what he should look like. I mean there were just so many portions of games that he just flat out dominated.

How long does it take for these rooks to usually develop? Was Lebron good on his first year? I can't remember? Not to overhype the situation, just saying...
Young players can show flashes and have a positive impact on the court as rookies and sophomores, etc.. but development takes years.
To put it in perspective Bron didn't earn All-NBA honors until his 3rd year, KD didn't until his 4th year, Kawhi didn't until his 5th year, Kobe didn't until his 4th year, etc ... it takes time even for the greats.

Baker is a useless roster spot. He gets beat off the dribble consistently. He’ll be taking minutes from A.I. Jr. & Frank which I’m not feeling
