He don't know shyt about baketball either. The dudes playing hockey look a little different though

Basketball makes the money so of course he wants to be hands on. Hopefully this was a wake up call for him to fall back.

I think it's because in basketball you only have five players; so it's easy to think "oh I'ma just get the biggest stars by any means necessary" without regard for chemistry and fit, even if you don't know much about basketball. I'd like to think that he's seen the error of his ways (he's admitted as much) and continues to stay out the mix.

In the past 20 years, the All-Star players the Nets and Knicks have had couldn't be more imbalanced:

Nets: Jason Kidd, Vince Carter, Joe Johnson, Deron Williams, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Kenyon Martin, Richard Jefferson (not an All-Star but he was a stud on the Nets), Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant

Knicks: Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire, Allan Houston, Latrell Sprewell, David Lee, Snake Boy.

Yes, I know that half of those Nets players were either washed or not as good as before but still...the biggest star to play for the Knicks is Melo and no-knees Amar'e. That's pathetic.

We play in New York City and at Madison Square Garden and yet that's not even enough to attract at least SOME star players. The Knicks really are a cursed franchise brehs :francis:.

I'm only concerned if the young guys will be starting or not. Fiz did not fill me with confidence last season:hhh:

Exactly. Knox/Barrett/Mitch are not starting. Which is why I can only laugh at the fact that we refused even include them in the offer for AD only for us to miss out on KD and sign guys who will take their minutes so that we can potentially trade them in a year.

No it’s not we need to start winning games and building culture

Yeah I don't think people understand that losing begets more losing. You can't keep running kids out there, sign nobody, win 25 games a year and expect things to change.... that's how you end up with the Donald Sterling Clippers, 30 years of irrelevancy

Traded KP to free up cap space to sign 4 mediocre Pf’s :mjcry:

If those Mavs picks aren’t anything special this will be a legendarily bad trade

MSG put out that lame ass concession speech of a press release 2 hours into FA. Ain't no damn wake up call or lessons learned. He's been doing this 98-99.

Some of y’all casuals are slow. KP NEVER wanted to be here. He was the one who DEMANDED to be traded. You want the Knicks to let him walk out for nothing? :dahell:

With time and negative influence, people forget that KP tried to continue a hostile and toxic way of doing business.

We didn't trade KP for cap space. We traded KP because we can't negotiate with terrorists.

We can blame old Dolan and Phil Jackson for those last remnants of toxicity.

Now...

I am confident that if Fiz does his job, we will be on track to look like the 2019 Nets; a competent team of professional ball players who can make a respectable impact going into the next two seasons.

I'm all in and we have time to lighten the media blow of the KD decision by actually playing good basketball long before KD even steps on the court once.

----

Oh, and I must say...I envy Nets fans, those who, because of the dumb trade if all their draft picks, were able to root for a team that wasn't tanking at all and became more than a tank circus.

Imagine tanking a year before the most important free agency and expecting the top FAs to not look at you as a fukking joke.

KD and Kyrie made THE RIGHT decision.

I don't want to hear shyt about tanking again. Zion "is not walking through that door" in any of the next 10 drafts so let's start building "culture".

:whoa:Wait...is "culture" still more of a joke word than "tank" still?

:shaq2:
