You sure? The Nets are still a good team without landing a huge name. Hell, the expectation is still that they’re gonna sign a 2nd tier guy anyway. Now they just have more room to add another one.

The worst case for BK is that they’re a good team with cap space and a re-upped D’lo. The worst case for the Knicks is a young but trash team still years away. Y’all ain’t on equal levels.
:scust: is your boyfriend from bk or something¿.........you bringing shame to uptXwn b*

Ownership. Dolan's got too bad a name. Kyrie is going to the Nets. :yeshrug:
Dolan doesn't handle the day to day operation of the Knicks. He's very hands off nowadays and leaves pretty much everything to Mills & Perry. Also, Dolan being the owner won't factor in any free agents decision on whether they sign with the Knicks.

Finally, if Kyrie goes to the Nets, then he'll most likely be by himself and not with KD. So :yeshrug:.

I'm positive that this trade will be decided by how the Nets handle FA. They just gave up two picks for the extra cap space. That's it, try to spin that any way you want it. If you trade two firsts for cap space, re-signing your volume scoring PG to a team that was a first round out doesn't make the move a success.

Breh if the Knicks did this we would be crying murder. The fact they are trading their first again right after getting out of that hole...... smh. That’s crazy to me

Honestly I think they are planning to let DLO walk. That move was made specifically to grab two FA stars.

And that's with offering him that ridiculous four year contract and trading for him the season without receiving any type of assets in return after Crabbe had an awful season. The double standards are comical.

Exactly! The Blazers helped Marks dodge the bullet and then he went and took it off their hands anyway. Now he's gotta use two first round picks to dump it. This entirely self inflicted wound is only a good move if they make something out of the cap space.

I feel like that's the better strategy. Kyrie and Dlo isn't a good fit. I see Harris rumors floating, I don't hate the starting five but I don't see them breaking the second round unless Levert really takes a leap.

They traded 2 picks for Taurean Prince and cap space. Even if you eliminate dealing Crabbe and a first to clear him off the books (which they woulda needed to do), Prince is better than what they could get at 17, and if all you had to do was trade a lotto protected first to move Crabbe, so be it.

The difference between both teams is that the Nets have given people a reason to trust their judgment whereas the Knicks will always be considered a clown show until their lives start paying off (blame Dolan). The Knicks have to restore their credibility to get the benefit of the doubt when making moves like this and that hasn’t happened yet.

They have 2 other picks. There’s a difference between today’s trade and what Billy King did and what the Knicks traded to get Bargnani.

Honestly we also need to consider what if KD’s injury is more serious than just a calf strain? Breh isn’t even practicing. If it more then that would throw the whole KD + Kyrie plan out the window. Trading for AD would be a bit of a stretch too.....

Well then I get why the rumored they could be targeting guys like Marcus Morris cause yeah. We all said it either get top talent on short term deals and go young. Also with this Kyrie story, they might throw the bag at DLO to see if he wants to stay in NY. That is a definite strong plan C move.

I can deal with Kyrie alone going to the Nets and KD staying with the Warriors.

However, I can't deal with BOTH KD & Kyrie going to the Nets. Nah, I just can't. Nets fans would be more insufferable than they already are.

Also, it would be painful to see them possibly win a chip with the Nets that should have been with the Knicks. It would be one of the most Knicks things to ever happen. I'm sorry brehs...I just can't.

If we strike out, fukk it let's stay the course, continue to draft smart and develop what we have :yeshrug:

But of course, nikkas gon be quick to run in here and call us delusional when the media been reporting this shyt for the entire season :francis:

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if nikkas try to spin the GayPee shyt as a loss now since he was an all star :stopitslime:

Which is what the casuals do. Previous regimes have nothing to do with Perry, Mills, and Fiz. Dolan hasn't made basketball decisions since before Phil.

The Knicks are credible now. They are showing they have competence running the front office now, and the coach gets a lot of praise around the league.

Nets just gave up two first round picks to dump Crabbe's contract. Could you imagine the reaction if the Knicks did the same? We've made similar moves for cap space to swing on FA's before, it's never been celebrated.
If the Nets don't make a big splash in free agency, you'll see what all this "goodwill" was really all about. I genuinely feel bad for Nets fans(the real ones) because no one actually talks about their team, that just made the playoffs, unless it's in relation to the Knicks(a team that's been rebuilding for a while now). The Nets won't even get clowned if they strike out in free agency, they'll just continue being the solid team people bring up when they can't think of a clever way to shyt on us.
