I saw a guy post this on Twitter and I had to post it here:

"The Nets have one good year, and all their faults are forgiven. There are now the Spurs. No one gives the Knicks new FO a chance to prove themselves. I’m done with basketball after July 1st if all this hype was meant to just embarrass the fanbase that has suffer the most."

It's ridiculous man. People have forgotten that the front office for the Nets for the longest time was just as bad if not worse than the Knicks. All of a sudden they have some stability and they are "the best basketball organization in New York City" :why:.

Nets just gave up two first round picks to dump Crabbe's contract. Could you imagine the reaction if the Knicks did the same? We've made similar moves for cap space to swing on FA's before, it's never been celebrated.

And that's with offering him that ridiculous four year contract and trading for him the season without receiving any type of assets in return after Crabbe had an awful season. The double standards are comical.

Big difference.

The Nets got a good player back and protected their future first. They covered their bases.

The Nets still have 27 and 31 (31 being your pick) and they’ve proven they can identify talent late.

That's a nice way to dress it up, but that trade will be decided by what happens with the cap space point blank. Having 27 and 31 doesn't change that nor does acquiring a solid role player.

Ownership. Dolan's got too bad a name. Kyrie is going to the Nets. :yeshrug:

You sure? The Nets are still a good team without landing a huge name. Hell, the expectation is still that they’re gonna sign a 2nd tier guy anyway. Now they just have more room to add another one.

The worst case for BK is that they’re a good team with cap space and a re-upped D’lo. The worst case for the Knicks is a young but trash team still years away. Y’all ain’t on equal levels.

I'm positive that this trade will be decided by how the Nets handle FA. They just gave up two picks for the extra cap space. That's it, try to spin that any way you want it. If you trade two firsts for cap space, re-signing your volume scoring PG to a team that was a first round out doesn't make the move a success.
