the ultimate legacy win win one in the world's capital city on the most valuable franchise in the league.........it's like the hoops version of a herculean trial it's seems so impossible nikkas just leave it alone though ha*
Couldn't you do that for Brooklyn? It's still in NY and I been to NY, everything is mad accessible up there. It's like 8 miles apart

This isn't the Lakers v. Clippers. The Nets have been the more successful team in the last 20 years.

Look I get that the Knicks are the big ticket. They play in the world's most famous arena. But that's like the beginning and end to wanting to play for the Knicks. I am glad they finally got real management but it's skipping steps like a motherfukka and I don't know if you guys are ready for that.

Honestly, AD and Durant with nothing or Durant, R.J. and Kyrie ain't winning no titles next year. It will take some time. Maybe just keep building and maybe Giannis wants to come when you are ready to win with a superstar.

If they get superstars, you sure about that? As they stand right now, they are irrelevant but will they be if they land superstars.

Nah, the Nets will NEVER be New York's team. They're not even Brooklyn's team. Half the people in Brooklyn wearing Nets gear are wearing it ONLY because it says "BROOKLYN" on it.

The Nets came to NYC 7 years ago. They were in New Jersey for 35 years. Even when they were in NY in the '70s, that was in Long Island not NYC. The Knicks have been in NYC for 73 years. The Knicks have never left the city or state. No matter how bad they are, they'll always be New York's team.

Linsanity got more news coverage here in NYC than the Nets got during the playoffs this year against Philly. It's just how it is.

Hello breh....but no. Playing in Brooklyn is not equivalent for many reasons already mentioned.

Commentators keep saying that its the same and that the stars should just go there instead of MSG....but its not even close.

Apples and Oranges to NY'ers.

Even if Brooklyn has a better team, most NY'ers are not rooting for Brooklyn over the Knicks. We wish them well but are not attached to them.

Its like rooting for a new rich coworker over your 'day one' friends from elementary.

Not to mention, MSG fame is elusive....so getting it is like an infinity ring.

Running to the Nets is the easy way....and means little.

Ya'll made some good points. I am from an one sport city. I just can't relate but the vibe I get is its the Knicks and the Nets are minor leagues. It's not like Giants/Jets or Yanks/Mets where they have a lot of fans either way

I tell people that there's nothing like when the Knicks are rocking out in NYC.... The city will get behind them like no other team; in other sports the loyalties are divided among two teams. Even in hockey you've got three with the Rangers, Islanders and Devils. To experience the whole city/metro area rocking when you do good is :banderas: status.

Hot Knicks > Yankees and Giants

Yankees are good this season and I hear little enthusiasm.

Minor leagues? :gucci:

NYC is a basketball city.

Also, the Giants, Knicks, Yankees & Rangers all have way more fans than the Jets, Nets, Mets & Islanders :gucci:.

It’s early it the year still. Around playoffs it’ll be Yankee town.

That's because most people really don't pay attention to baseball until the playoffs start in October.

Knicks had the worst record in the league and haven't played in months. Still the talk of the town.

Our popularity has nothing to do with current playoffs.

The Yankees have been a much more successful organization than the Knicks so them being a good team is not going to a create that kind of a buzz until playoff time.

In 2009, the Yankees were the talk of NYC when they won the World Series for the 27th time.
