These movies, television shows and stage productions are rarely, if ever funded by black people. What are you going to do other than complain? Jewish producers at these entertainment conglomerates are hiring who they want and yes, hiring foreign talent is easier than Americans, especially if they level up. A lot of these people need O-1 visas to work regularly in this country and if they don't play ball, they may not be re-upped by the sponsoring talent agencies that represent them. Europe does not pay as well to play make-believe.

I know most wont listen because of content creator but Wood Harris Spoke in depth about this 6 years ago, saying they are better and why, how they are classically trained with Shakespeare from day one, poetry in their life and the connection to Africa is different in Europe than America (It was just his theory having worked with them). Getting truthful history and gaining a pride in that compared to lies and thinking only born a slave history.

We also see the culture of how Michael B. Jordan was treated in school, being an actor and people calling him lame for having headshots, lol.. You think that is gonna encourage other young black kids to learn poetry and or learn the classics. :francis: cant have it both ways really.

This interview had gems at the time that still stick with me, this was definitely one of clips, relates directly to this also.

Watch Top Boy and you will notice how British actors are at their top of the game brehs:manny:

The american tv shows are not helmed by good/great actors who went to school
They are helmed by low to mid range actors like omari hardwick or lil meech

Omari hardwick went to school on a football scholarship and minored in theater
Idris Elba went to National youth music theater on a grant
Lil meech is riding on clout from his dad

You can see the levels and quality on that front alone. The material that requires good acting for black leads is usually not going to someone who hasn't gone to theater school or can win an audition.

I mean right now in the US in terms of acting we only have john david washington and Zendaya holding it down right now. neither got respect until they actually showed some talent behind the clout

Facts... The acting on that Wu-tang series is terrible! Lol

There’s no need to even overthink this. Cac’s hate black Americans with a passion and would rather hire a black British actor for the job, because they view them as more sophisticated and easier to deal with.

Whites in general entire hiring is based on their comfort level.
We're expected to gloss over this while they call our actors uneducated buffoons.

His Los Angeles accent was trash
His Houston accent was trash to in Swarm

Alot of these brits can hardly do any accent outside of a NY/North east accent

and we can sum up the reason why they prolly good with that is due to cousins and family being there. So they have exposure of it or whatever the case may be, So they got that down

But they are trash at Southern, Midwest and West coast accents

Most UK black actors are not classically trained, its just that in the UK you can only go so far. They venture across to the US as the ceiling is much higher.

I honestly don’t think the black British actors are any better than their American counterparts.

The average viewer can’t tell who’s trained or who isn’t, let’s be honest :mjlol:

They’re much cheaper is my biggest guess. Although I would’ve thought domestic talent would be cheaper than exporting them.

We've discussed it already. The top black British actors are classically trained and have extensive theater experience. From Idris Elba to Damson Idris and everyone in between. Many American actors came from New York acting schools at one point but television has opened the door to less trained, less "professional actor" actors over the last couple decades. For every Jonathan Majors, who is classically trained, there are handsome men and attractive women who can't really act but get hired because they fit whatever Instagram image the show wants.

You can scroll through the casts of BMF, Power, most MCU shows, etc and see a lot of American actors who didn't go to school for it. That's not to say non-classically trained actors can't act. Joaquin Phoenix is arguably the best actor right now and didn't go to acting school. But when you're auditioning against classically trained actors who are used to doing Shakespeare you're gonna lose that audition unless you're really fukking good. And a lot of these young American actors today aren't...that good. You see it in the acting you see in shows and films they're in.

You hating breh. Yung Miami acted her ass off in BMF :rudy:

The real problem is that British actors are classically trained at the top acting schools in the world, and the modern young American actors aren't. Spider-Man, arguably the quintessential American superhero, is played by a British dude. Batman, another quintessential American character, is also played by a British dude.

Brehs can complain and make it a race issue when the reality is these British actors are walking into auditions and blowing Americans out the water. Flip side you know of an African American actor who was classically trained in the US, is great, and has had massive success? Yup...Jonathan Majors lol. That's the path more black Americans need to take, versus the current lane of untrained or half trained brehs getting TV jobs because they're handsome and fading out after a few years.

Y’all are still pushing this LIE?:mjlol:

Hollywood doesn’t care about great acting on a wide spectrum :mjlol:

They are trying to MAKE MONEY first and foremost and do it as cost effective as possible. Marketability COMES FIRST.

That’s why in most shows or movies there are supporting actors who are better than the lead actor. The only reason why they are supporting is because they are not deemed marketable to be the lead of a lead. The only trump to this is having connections.

Exactly you don’t need to be “classically trained” to be a go to actor or get hired :mjlol:

MBJ CANNOT ACT yet is the current go to black male actor :mjlol:

What “great acting” does someone like Chris Pratt do? Yet he’s thrown into every damn major production :russ:
