Also that APP @wheywhey posted is pretty good, its regularly $20 a month or $175 a year, it looks to be better than Duolingo. I went to the library and got a card, and signed up earlier. Check to see if your local libray supports it, because it is the best free option available IMO. If your library supports it then you can sign up at home if you know your library login.

There are girls on it, its not a dating app, you have to be approved to be on it but it took like 10 min for my account get approved. They tell you not to make any advances or some shyt or they will ban you.

However, you can search for people near you and if the convos going well im sure you could hook up with a few chicks

I like Mango better than Duolingo but they both serve a purpose. Mango is good for speaking/pronunciation and Duolingo is good for spelling. Mango is developing more languages including Zulu and Navajo.

i dunno how it works for other cultures, but for a friendly country like brazil, i could definitely see this being a Tinder

but even better, because you dont seem thirsty and desperate by default just for being on it

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this app to anyone trying to go to brazil and learn portuguese. you'll have friends already set up waiting for you

Yeah flirting isn't even necessary

If you plan to travel, just stay in touch and make your move when you meet up with them

This won't work in all cultures but I'd say you have a good shot in many Latin countries just because of how welcoming everyone is

been meaning to get up on my spanish to atleast be passable. was gonna do duolingo which ive used in the past but havent been on for a few months so im basically starting over since i only know the very basics from college and high school

The Defense Language Institute offer free resources for independent language learners. It is called GLOSS (Global Language Online Support System).

Global Language Online Support System

Simply pick a language and a level. If you click the title of the lesson you will be led to an exercise. If you click the blue floppy disk, you will be given audio of a dialogue and a bilingual transcript which you can download.
